  • In this video I explore the Synthesis Technology E370 Eurorack Modular Quad Morphing VCO with the intent of showcasing this amazing unit and some of the sounds it can produce. This is a really deep 4 channel morphing wavetable synth module. I am not currently using any of the FM features or utilizing any of the voltage controlled inputs. I really enjoy this module and think it pairs wonderfully with the ACL Sinfonion chord section. I bring in the Chainsaw and some drums for the last 10 minutes or so.
    Thanks for watching!

      Thanks for subscribing to my channel. I see the number of subscribers is rising and it brings be much delight. So, I knew even before acquiring all of this gear, that I would not want a rainbow of panic attack chaos to navigate around to get to the workspace. Routing the cables into the case was the most logical solution to optimize the workspace and I determined this early in my exploration. I do not recommend you put anything in your eurorack case! But if you do, I am glad to be an inspiration. If you have any photos or videos of your rig, I would love to see what you are up to. Cheers!

    I’ve been musing. I think that in one of the new Star Trek iterations, they should show Mr. Spok in his quarters relaxing with a massive Eurorack rig.

      Thanks for watching Bitclick! Modular in general is hard to tame IMO, but absolutely rewarding. I am getting more comfortable with the E370, but I still feel I have a lot to learn, but that is part of the joy for me and I feel super blessed to even have been given the opportunity to enjoy all of this fun gear. If you have the time, maybe you could also make a video on how you are using Your E370, I would love to watch and hear about it. Cheers!

    I totally feel you on taking off the pitch adjustment knobs. I'll occasionally bump mine, it's such a pisser. Wave folding slightly modulated wavetables is super fun times. I've taken to using the per voice wave folder as note articulation similar to how one might use velocity. I betcha the Sinfonian could rock that. I enjoyed the tunes 😊

    • @moxom3854
      @moxom3854  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Fascinating proposal there Jammy about using wave folding as note articulation. Thinking of using Sinfonion outgoing voltages to control something like that is very outward thinking for sure. That is what is crazy amazing about Modular, how you can use voltages in various ways, but at the end of the day, its voltages. I have the rig totally disconnected and experimenting with a few new pieces of Kit and some new ways of using the sinfonion, five12 seq, metrons and everything else to push my understanding and sound development in the rig currently. New videos should be incoming soon, but I have been playing ESO a bit these days, lol. Anyway Thanks for watching. Cheers!

      Kudos to you TPS for making it to the end! I did not initially intend to bust out into a jam, but that chord was begging me for some kick and bass. After that it was all hands on deck, lol. Thanks for watching, I am grateful. I will be checking out your videos also. Looks like you have some fascinating experimentation into sound happening on your channel! Keep inspired and keep motivated and I will try to do the same. Cheers MXM

    How do you keep your cables so incredibly neat? I can't even aspire to that. And what are you using to tie them in bundles - just regular velcro ties? Great video.

    • @moxom3854
      @moxom3854  2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Hey!, D.A.Forman, Thank you so much for noticing. I started keeping them in bundles with twist ties , but I am about to release a product to the market, which you can see holding the cables together in this video. I will definitely let everyone know when this is available. Hope things are going well for you.

    Good call on removing the tune knobs on the e370.

    • @moxom3854
      @moxom3854  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lol, yeah. I replace all of the tuning and fine tuning knobs with rubber cap-thingy's. It was too easy to accidentally grab one at the worst time, but after doing this I almost never touch them by accident. The Acid Rain Chainsaw is the only mod which did not need it's knob removed. Thanks for watching.

    What an absolute monster setup. What's the story with ask l the cable setup? It appears all cables were purposely built for a specific distance. Did you make the cables yourself?

    • @moxom3854
      @moxom3854  12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hey TT, thanks for the comment and questions. So the cables are standard size cables, but I route them into the case in gaps between the modules, so the huge mess is actually behind all of the modules inside the case. Some of my longer videos show how I am doing this in detail. I also produced some special clips to clip the cables together outside of the case. OK, well, Thanks for Watching

      Hey Aeon, Awesome! So you can control the Sinfonion tracks with the Voltera Expansions for the 1vPer/Oct, but otherwise I just use the metrons to control the 2 Bitbox MK1's. Currently I am mostly getting 1vPer/Oct voltages from the FiveTwelve Vector Sequencer because I can record and control with a Launchpad X. Cheers. Get that WMD stuff while you can. Unfortunately, they have had to stop producing Modules :(

    Thank You. How You produce stutter effect im Jam. Which module is that?

    • @moxom3854
      @moxom3854  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you Zoran, so glad you found my video. So as you can probably see, the stutter effect is coming from that awesome arcade button and the module is the Modbap Per4mer (Link in the description). It is a great module IMHO which took my money the moment I learned of it's existence. It was just what I wanted to have a playable master effect like Traktor's 12 effects for DJ'ing. I will do a video on this module soon so you can see what can do, but there are already a few videos out there for it. It pairs well with the Endorphines Golden Master for it's three band eq cut and boost. I am not crazy about what the limiter/gates in the GM, but it is likely that I just do not understand what I am doing with setting it properly. You can hear it affecting the high end of the synth in the beginning of t he video. Thank you so much for commenting, please subscribe to my channel. Cheers
