For me the best looking RS3 is the 8V facelift. The 8Y is a bit of a downgrade lookswise. But I have to agree on the wheels. The rotor wheels are the best wheel design Audi ever made.

Just now and again it goes a bit flat, you seem to really need to build up the boost and a quick launch ain’t always a good one. I’d have expected it to beat the S3 like the race a few months back.

I love every drag race. But only one complaint I have is that production can use better a mic for the obligatory car sound tests in the future videos . The wind noice ruins it and can’t really hear the exhaust of the cqrs

I believe that era of 5-cyl 2.5 Audi engine has only direct fuel injection, and like the original R8 and 4.2 RS4 engines it is prone to coking up which leads to gradual power loss. In the later engines from about 2016 they went to dual injection which keeps the valves clean. The early cars used to do about low 12 sec standing quarters when they were new, 12.2, 12.3 sort of times and that one probably will do the same again with some walnut blasting. Sounds nice, though.

Doesn’t void warranties and you are demo-ing it in a drag race scenario (opposed to public road). Would be fun to “sneakily pull out against Yanni” when he thinks he might win. Get a discount code as well so you can get some revenue as well. One of those boost modules can be used in over 15 different vehicle (neuspeed). $350.

Carwow raced my old RS3 in a similar video last year and it did 12.7 1/4 mile. So the intake loosing a little HP on that RS3. Still looked the best though.

@@adimazga yes. but it has more to do with the injector placement. Direct injection cars suffer really bad from carbon build up. Port injection doesn't suffer so bad because fuel gets sprayed directly onto the intake valves and cleans them. Modern cars these days have best of both worlds. They have direct injection + port injection (Example this 8V S3 in this video)

Because It's not really small, it's not really a coupe, and it's not really a 2-series. It's a 3-series with a slightly shorter body on top of it. The major heavy elements are the engine, transmission and the 4wd gubbins and that doesn't get any lighter when you take a few inches off the length of the car

but it has more to do with the injector placement.
Direct injection cars suffer really bad from carbon build up.
Port injection doesn't suffer so bad because fuel gets sprayed directly onto the intake valves and cleans them.
Modern cars these days have best of both worlds. They have direct injection + port injection (Example this 8V S3 in this video)

Because It's not really small, it's not really a coupe, and it's not really a 2-series. It's a 3-series with a slightly shorter body on top of it. The major heavy elements are the engine, transmission and the 4wd gubbins and that doesn't get any lighter when you take a few inches off the length of the car
