  • Watching Parliament made easy! My Africa Brings you all the scenes you really want to watch!
    Newsworthy, interesting and the funny parts MINUS the boring rest of a long Parliament sitting.
    Parliament of South Africa - “To represent the people, and to ensure government by the people in fulfilling our constitutional functions of passing laws and overseeing executive action”. Zuma vs DA and ignores the Speaker of Parliament during question time 11 March 2015. *****
    The Constitution affords all South Africans the right to see and hear what happens in Parliament.
    For the last 7 years and for the benefit of subscribers and the community “My Africa” search for sequences that are newsworthy, interesting, funny etc. From a, sometimes long and boring, Parliament sitting allowing the community the opportunity to choose which sequence they find interesting and want to watch.
    As a result “My Africa” adds significant value to those effected by the exceptionally high cost of Data and Pay TV.
    Also “My Africa” allows the community to comment and contribute to discussions in a meaningful manner and take stories forward.
    However, we will NOT condone the following:
    - Racism (including offensive comments based on ethnicity and nationality)
    - Sexism
    - Homophobia
    - Religious intolerance
    - Cyber bullying
    - Hate speech
    - Derogatory language
    - Comments inciting violence.
    We strive to make the TH-cam community a safe and welcoming space for all.

      +Simone van der merwe We just need to keep the faith, cause this bs can't last forever and Zuma and his cadres will get their just desserts sooner or later if there's any justice in the universe. I for one firmly believe that things will come right and that potential will be fully realised. It helps to remember that even at the worst of times we have x-factor that other countries can only dream of - being South African isn't just the best thing, it's the only thing :D

      The sad fact of the matter is that many black people vote ANC not for what they ARE doing, but for what they HAVE done under the leadership of a greater man. We all respect what the forefathers have done and they WILL be remembered in history FOREVER.... no matter who takes over.
      I hope that the younger generations have the power to convince those with older principals of the difference it could make for not just this young generation, but those to follow.
      I cannot see how anyone would want to continue living under these conditions. It is not only the black people that are suffering anymore, but south africans on a whole. Our economy is already taking strain with unemployment on a high and international investors moving their stocks to other African countries. The Eskom issue alone could cause the collapse of our economy and all because the tenders went to corrupt connections of corrupt leaders.
      If we continue in this manner it will take 5 generations of struggle to fix one generations vote.

    @jozigirl7114 9 ปีที่แล้ว +20

    Well, well, well - Even the Speaker is unable to control old Zuma. Why the rant? Well, because Zuma has a guilty conscience - Maimane didn't actually accuse Zuma directly of not answering questions, just that the last session was incomplete and that he would like another chance to have those questions answered. Then realising that he has goofed, he does what a cornered animal does - puffs himself up and makes loud noises to scare the one off who has cornered him. Make no mistake; Zuma is well aware that Maimane is very popular, very honest, very driven, and a lot more like than he is. Maimane is also much better educated - speaks 6 languages and has 2 masters degrees as well as an honours degree - where Zuma has - erm - no formal education whatsoever. Zuma here is treating Maimane asif they were in a kraal with himself as Chief and Maimane a petulant young child - patronising and condescending in every way. To Jacob Zuma Parliament is a inconvenient formality on his road to absolute dictatorship. He does not care what is said there, or what is decided there, for as long as the cANCer has control of SA and its resources, he and his cronies do whatever they want, when they want. You might think that this is just corruption and greed, and to a point it is, but that is not the whole story. The Truth is that the ANC is constantly and systematically steering SA away from Democracy, away from foreign trade and investment, and directly into the arms of poverty. Those grants they are giving people are not to help people, it is to trap them in a circle of poverty where they cannot survive without the "assistance" of the state - the same with the Black Diamonds - who will vote against the government which feeds it? And as for Eskom? Do South Africans not understand that the Chines are helping the ANC to create a new North Korea within our borders? That once in the ANC has completed their NDR - they will outlaw all other political parties, electricity will be rationed - yes you will no nothing other than loadshedding - and everyone will be poor. All those promises of houses and jobs - yes you will have a house, it will be owned by the ANC and every 5 years you will have to buy the leasehold from them again, like you have to in China.
    As this snake ignores the Speaker, he will ignore the public. When he speaks of the redistribution of wealth - it is private property he is speaking of - your private property. Yes, his crooked cronies will have private property, but no common man will, no matter how a good supporter of the ANC you have been, no matter how loyal, no matter how well connected. All those "redistributed" farms - did anyone check if the new "owners" have freehold titles for those properties, or just leasehold, or in fact just promises.... The Constitution is nothing more than a tool to this man and his Communist government - did no one tell SA that at least a quarter of all senior ANC MP's are card carrying Reds. A tool which is to be used, abused, and changed as it suits them - not the public. Maimane is a great speaker already, he unites people of all walks of life - and Zuma is afraid of him and what he can do. The reason for that being that Maimane is Black. Yes - Zuma is afraid of the Black thinking man who can see through all this bullshit and go another way. If he was white, Zuma would have simply called him a Racist, and he would have been hounded out of parliament, but Maimane is not white, has a huge following of people who are of all racial groups - and that following is growing by the day. There has already been several attempts by the ANC (though incognito) to debase, discredit and simply just besmirch Maimane - and I must say, the harder they try, the more clear it is that he is a serious contender for Presidency and the ANC and especially Zuma, cannot take the chance that he may win. I will not be surprised - and mark my words now - if someone from that camp makes and attempt on Maimane's life.

    As much as I dislike the ANC and Zuma, he was right in this instance... looking at the comments below, I would like to point out that Mmusi did indirectly accuse him of dodging questions... Now the unfortunate part is that Zumas reply is true if you have been keeping up with parliament. Every time he starts answering a Q or any other party member for that matter, the rest of parliament disrupts the person speaking... The lack of professionalism in parliament is shocking!!!, and most of that comes from the EFF.
    The way the other parties conduct themselves in parliament gives Zuma more than enough ammunition to just say... "Well, you didn't let me answer the question". It's going to continue like this for much longer it seems though... very sad... It seems like nobody respects the speaker... In my office, no matter how much we disagree with what a person is saying in formal meeting, we do not interrupt the person until they are done talking... You will even see in this clip how rude the other guy was calling a point of order in the middle of Zuma's response...
    Seriously, take out a fucking pen and write down your questions and then ask them when you have a chance... In the SA parliament, if a member puts up their hand, the speaker will go to them straight afterwards and ask them what they would like to say... but there is not respect (at least professional) among these people...They are all falling into the same trap with each other...

      +Lindiwe Tshabalala South Africa was better off economically during the time of apartheid. Since the rise of the ANC the unemployment rate of South Africa, this includes black ANC supporters mind you, went from 5% to 50%. Before the rise of the ANC, South Africa was the safest country in the whole continent of Africa for all races and ethnicities and yes that does include the black ANC supporters and now it's the rape and murder capital of the world. The literacy rate has plumated to put it kindly. Before the fall of Apartheid the USD and ZAR had almost the same worth. Today you can't but a single USD with 16 ZAR. Now tell me again what, if anything, that is/was at all beneficial for this once proud country has the ANC brought with them with their entirely racial bias take over?

    • @jeffreyjefferson6047

      So you'd rather let everyone in the country suffer among each other from xenophobia, corruption, a crumbled economic base, vertually non existent infrastructure, a plumating literacy rate and a plumating currency than have one race slightly better off than others (who are all still better off than all races today) because that race which is slightly better off than the others layed the foundation AND built on the strength of the nation for almost 400 years?
      Typical selfish self victimising, incoherent ideology that landed the country in the shit state it's in. Have fun being brainwashed.

      And just so you know I don't support Apartheid. I'm simply shedding light on the fact that South Africa WAS better off for everyone during the time of Apartheid. I am, however, strongly AGAINST the ANC. I personally don't care who gets the majority votes in the next election. DA or EFF. I really couldn't care. As long as the ANC falls. Because the ANC is the bane of this country and if you can't see that and refuse to believe it then you're simply blind and I feel legitimately sorry for you.

  • @munasheariwamwari948
    @munasheariwamwari948 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The lady seated as the chairsperson is very quick to silence the likes of Malema and others who are refusing to take a point of order, but powerlessly and hopelessly sits baffled as Zuma rambles on and on repeating himself and disregarding the point of order constitutionally brought forth before him. This is probably an indicator to the impunity that Zuma has in South Africa.
