Great.Sir..Your zeal, sincerity and .your eagerness to know about Tribal people are praiseworthy..It shows your love and respect for Tribals .But sir you hv interpreted..kachari means. Kachcha khanewale....Hahaha.But I havent seen any kachari taking unboiled food..They eat anything after fully boiled...
Dear Friend, This attempt is merely an anecdotal account. Any oversight should be taken in that context. As regards to the word Kachari, there are many Kachari tribes in the Northeast and what I said was based on what the Kachari tribes told me. No disrespect is meant and none should be taken. If there are any alternative meanings to the word Kachari please let me know for me to correct it going further. Thanks for understanding and realizing my love for indigenous cultures and traditions. You will also be pleased to know that my own spouse is a tribal.
@@SamirJolly very derogatory from your part. Kachari name is foreign. It's actually from Koch people which means Koch people, we are not kochari, we are not Koch people. Even in dimasa language, kachari means Koch people, we call ourselves as dima hari or dimasa jadzi. The word kachari was used by endle a British Ethnologist to address all tribes of Assam.
The myth of gatotkacha and bhima aren't true. They were invented in 17th century by the royal family and the Bengali brahmins who worked under the royal family. These myth were invented to make themselves appear as superior godly beings in front of Indo-aryan subject. And the name Kachari is related with kachin of Myanmar. The kacharis are advanced tribe who never ate anything raw and had a higher level of civilization. The Dimasa kacharis are not Hindu, they are animist. In 1960 the Indian government put animism under Hinduism which I find it wrong, it made tribes like karbi, dimasa, zeme and hrangkol etc. affiliate under Hindu category but traditionally these tribes have no connection with Hinduism.

@@SamirJolly you should had atleast google it...bullshit fact you have shared Bodo The term Bodo finds its first mention in the book by Hodgson in 1847, to address the Kachari peoples . Grierson took this term Bodo to denote a section of the Assam-Burma group of the Tibeto-Burman languages of the Sino-Tibetan family, which included the languages of (1) Mech; (2) Rabha; (3) Lalung (Tiwa); (4) Dimasa (Hills Kachari); (5) Garo (6) Tiprasa and (7) Chutiya. In modern usage, the umbrella-term Bodo is more anthropological and linguistic in its usage.[6] Modern historian Jae-Eun Shin use the Bodo as a linguistic group to include cognate groups.[7] This umbrella-group includes such sub-groups as Mech in Bengal and Nepal; Bodos, Dimasa, Chutia, Sonowal, Moran , Rabha, Tiwa in Assam, and the Kokborok people in Tripura and Bangladesh. This is in contrast to popular and socio-political usage, where Bodo denotes the politically dominant sub-group-the Boros-in the Bodoland Territorial Region. In general, the Boros or Bodo people means Boro people and scholars use the term Bodo to name the linguistic and anthropological group. The term Bodo generally stands for man in some of the cognate languages (Boro:Boro; Tripuri:Borok) but not in others (Garo:Mande; Karbi:Arlen). According to historians, the word "Bodo" is derived from the Tibetan Hbrogpa. The umbrella name "Bodo" is resisted by numerically smaller groups such as the Dimasas.
