- Air Tankers fighting a wildfire from the Santa Barbara Airport on October 4, 1987 included Douglas C-54 Skymasters, Lockheed P2V Neptunes, a Consolidated P4Y-2 Privateer, and a Fairchild C-123 Provider.
It's pretty unbelievable that they had dc-10s flying into this tiny airport
I saw that. It is only a 6000 ft runway!!!
Why were they there though?

the fire was in Ojia
P4Y-2 Privateer #124 was a Hawkins & Powers plane.
