My heart aches even more while watching Baek Yi Jin controlling himself not to cry when she saw Hee do and when he turned his back when Hee Do saw him. That scene still hits me now.
Instead of Na Hee Do, saying farewell even though I still love him is so torture so I'll just beg him if I must, to get back with him. Why should we endure this much pain when we can change when we are still in love? 😥😭😭😭
I feel like this drama resonates with you as you grow older. When you are 18 , you feel like your happiness and friendships are gonna last forever but as time goes by , we separate ways and enter our own journeys. It's sad but it's just the truth of our lives. We just have to enjoy the moments and treasure our memories.
Totally agree. The purpose is to tell an intense story that makes us recall those phases and people that where in our life's at one point. That's the beauty behind this work of art and why the emotional impact of the last episode hits so hard. You need to be in your late twenties or beyond to feel the bittersweetness.
They would NEVER find a love like that again. Like she said, she truly knows what love is and what a break up is. You saw it in her eyes when he was interviewing her. You saw it in the adult Na Hee Do eyes as she imagined the breakup as they written in the journal. If you have a heart, you feel it watching this series.
It's been almost a year and I'm still sad thinking about it.That tunnel, the bus station where they last met, the beach trip, the alley where Hee Do confessed to Yijin.....it's all a memory but I'm still haunted by the ending. It's sad when I remember my first love that year, cheered each other on to overcome the difficulties of youth but couldn't go all the way together. And I think Hee Do is the first love as well as the only love in Yijin's life!
At this point I feel like I’m going through a breakup and my coping mechanism is inflicting pain on myself by watching different fanmade videos of this song and this kdrama 🥹
Hats off to those who made this edit and the drama too! It taught us that It's okay to not have a happy ending everytime ! The breakup is depicted really well too! Soo heart touching 😭❤️
When I first watched it, I didn't think it was this deep. Later I realized its depth and i felt more strange. I really thought they broke up just because they were away from the body, and that sounded ridiculous. But seriously, I think that also had an effect, on the one hand, they were growing up, changing, I think the reason for their separation was based on this. Because as a person grows, he changes in some way, be it good or bad, his perspective on life, people and events changes in some way. As a person gets older, he faces new challenges and it becomes more difficult for him to cope with them and accept them. For example, when I fell and hurt my knee when I was little, I could be comforted by my mother's hug, even a chocolate was enough to make me happy, I would get up quickly. But as I got older, I realized that life is not that simple, and when I faced difficulties, I started having trouble getting up and cheering up again. I saw that on the show too. When they first met, Hee-do and Yi-Jin were happy looking at the water flowing from the faucet, when Yi-Jin disappeared, Hee-do called him to help him get back on his feet with simple words. But that wasn't the case after Yi-Jin went to New York, because what he encountered there deeply affected him (I think anyone would be) and Hee-do couldn't support him no matter what he did. As for Hee-do, I don't think she made a selfish decision either. Maybe she didn't want her own children to go through the same thing as she did. It also upset her that Yi-Jin was constantly apologizing. So I think that's how they broke up. But I think even these reasons show how seriously they take each other and their relationship. Because even when leaving, they left by taking into account the problems that may occur in the long term. I think this shows that they planned their relationship for the long term from the very beginning(I wrote too long sorry.) I also listen to this song almost every day, just the melody is very relaxing and it makes it harder for me to get out of the drama (I've been under the influence of the drama for about 5 months ;)
What makes it even more heartbreaking is that even if heedo wanted to avoid her kids having an absent nother/father like she did,it happened regardless as we see in the future scenes with her daughter. And we will never know if they did figure it out whether Yijin was the father figure that Heedo was destined to have for her kids.(Personally I think he was)

The BEST edit of Twenty-five Twenty-one Feels like I watched the drama again, like I went through those happy moments, struggling moments and their sad moments all at once with just this edit
прихожу посмотреть это видео регулярно раз в несколько месяцев…до сих пор не могу отпустить эту историю, каждый раз слушая эту песню покрываюсь мурашками как в первый раз
What makes me cry the most is the fact that neither of them have forgotten this love after so many years. And as we see at the end of episode 16, both have continued to experience the power of that love until now. In my mind they will meet and they will have everything again, from scratch. I think this kind of love has no end 💔 Thank you so for your edit, my dear author. This is my favorite one ❤ and that song…so full of emotions
This was a phenomenal edit and captured their story really well. The ending broke me and the last bit of hope I had for them, but I will always love these two. One thing: I kept asking myself why is it that Ji-woong and Yu-rim managed to stay together, despite distance and major events (Yu-rim changing citizenship or asking to break up). It's because Ji-woong refused to let go of her, no matter what, and found every possible way to see her. Yi-jin always chose distance (first time he disappeared, then not sharing his trauma with Hee-do in NY, and giving in when Hee-do asked to break up), because he thought he was doing the best thing for Hee-do. This isn't judging or blaming him at all, because he suffered a lot too and she didn't want him to keep being sorry to her. It's just interesting how their various choices led to two different endings for the couples. 😢
THIS!!! I see a lot of people hate the ending because they feel bad for Yi-jin, but personally I think this ending was one of the most well-made endings I have ever seen in a kdrama, because it showed and taught us so much more than just a typical 'they got married and lived happily ever after' type of ending. As you said, their breakup was a result of how they dealt with the situation, and in real life it's often like this. Even though they loved each other, Yi-jin's own insecurities and love for Hee-do became fatal in the end. Even though he only wanted the best for her, it could have ended well for them if he had just been a little more selfish like Ji-woong... In the end, 'loving yourself' is not just being selfish, it's also taking care of the other
Yi Jin before Hee Do was a broken man. He was forced to grow up early on to save his family from the crisis that befell on them. It was Hee Do who brought him some semblance of happiness. It was also Hee Do who pushed him to reach for his dreams. And Yi jin as a way of showing his love for Hee Do strive to be better even if it means being away from Hee Do. In the end, he did save his family, but lose Hee Do on the way. Hee Do also grew up resenting her mom’s absence due to work. And it was the same scenario that is happening in her relationship with Yi Jin. Maybe, it was not the ideal situation she wants for her daughter thus she let go of him too. Yu Rim and Ji Woong came into their relationship with a different background. It doesn’t mean that their love was greater than Hee Do and Yi Jin just because they end up together, but because they came into the relationship beset with different problems than Hee Do and yi Jin. That’s what i think
@@mlt1018 Yes, I agree with this as well :) I think the lesson I learned is that we all have different backgrounds and challenges in life. The choices we make can lead us to different paths. Each character in the story made different choices, and in the end, they all seemed happy/fulfilled, even if we as the viewers wanted a different ending 😢😅

this is so beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time, just the way the entire drama was. it taught us that some of the things we cherish aren't ours for a lifetime. even though we wish they were. heedo and yijin were lucky to meet at some point in their life, even though they had to say goodbye. im still sad about the ending tho, as i wish they still somehow reconnected as they were older. but still overall the drama was beautifully written.

I could tell from the day I heard this song that the show is so completely based off it and I was waiting for an edit which would tie them together, this is perfect! 💜 Thank you so much for making the edit of my dreams 🙌 Let's cry together but let's also be happy that this show taught us so much abt hope and friendship and life 🥺✨
It's a bliss to read all these happy and sad comments for Na Hee Do and Baek Yi Jin, while watching such a beautiful video. Liking every comment so that they can relive those moments 😊
i keep watching this over and over and keep crying over and over😭😭😭threre story is so sad And the character build up in each episode just makes it even more sad😢
It is one of the best dramas I have ever watched. I wish it were released when I was younger. Then I might have given more thoughts on friendship and my life instead of studying constantly and worrying about things that make me insecure. This drama taught me so many things that I am very thankful for that. And also it's the best edit about this drama.
onions. are there onions here?! T.T Such a heartbreakingly good show. Didn't think anything like this would exist but I'm happy I watched it. No regrets. This MV is GOLD!
My heart is still so heavy even by seeing pictures of them. Being able to spend all those years with someone and say goodbye in the end is just so sad. I will never get over this kdrama forever 😭
I felt so heartbreaking while watching this video... with the song... 😭Didn't feel that heartbreak though while watching the last episode. The compilation of their stories in this song makes everything so sad. It's definitely a cruel ending but it's the reality of life. Good job for the editing!
The song itself is just enough to bring the bittersweet emotions of happyness and sadness that this drama portraits, it's beautyfully heartbreaking and this video is the perfect representation of it. All said, it's too much to take, I can't stop crying, not just because it was a sad ending but for this emotion of emptyness in the chest that I have since I finished watching the drama. I need a hug 😢
Ahhhh i hate how this drama has made me a mess I feel like I broke up. I hope they are both happy 😭Also OP great job on editing it made me cry again so jail for you for 1000 years.
When I heard this song on the flashback scene from ep. 15, I cried without even understanding the lyrics. Now that I know what the song is about, the scene broke my heart even more. This was the biggest hint about their love story. 🥲 I understand the sentiments of some viewers about Na Hee Do and Baek Yi Jin's ending- it was really heartbreaking. I cried a lot and felt empty even until now; it's like I broke up with them too. It's because we were brought along with them and their story for 16 episodes, we're so attached to the couple. They had lovely times together, their relationship was natural and they were basically soulmates. Yi Jin even told Hee Do that they were meant to meet each other (if not for the IMF, they will meet by the train station). But when the bump in their relationship happened, I thought the breakup was just rightful. It hurts because neither of them was at fault, both of their feelings were valid.. It's just that the situation sucked. The 9/11 tragedy traumatized Yi Jin- interviewing bereaved families & longing loved ones, reporting number of dead bodies every day; his exhaustion and feeling of wanting to keep doing it to help these people were valid. His feelings are understandable, the same way as it was also for Hee Do's case. She loathed her mom for not being there on important days of their lives, yet here she was dating a person exactly like her mom. Her exhaustion from always being the one to understand and receive apologies for not being there, were also valid. That's why their breakup was the most painful. We were left with nothing but to just cry about it because breaking up is the best thing to do in their situation. As for Hee Do's husband, I admit that was also one of the fun parts of this drama. But when the story ended with their breakup, as it was only telling the story written on young Hee Do's diary, just knowing that the husband was NOT Baek Yi Jin was already enough. We don't need to know who her husband was, what would we even do with that information? Even if the name or face was revealed, we don't know their story, we are not attached to that couple. We already got the simplest and clearest answer: it's not Baek Yi Jin. In conclusion, I LOVE this kdrama. I enjoyed watching all 16 episodes. My favorite was ep 15, it mended and broke my heart with just one episode. BaekDo couple and their squad will always be close to my heart.
Saluti dall'Italia❤
Thank you, what is enjoyable edit how are you ordered the beautiful and heartbreaking parts of their relationship. These two are more than amazing actors🎉
Words cannot describe how incredibly made this edit was, props to the editor that took the time to come up with this masterpiece! The emotions and expressions of the actors lined up with the lyrics just brilliant 👏 keep up the good work forever clicking the replay button 💖🤩

oh dear God I am crying so much watching this! this drama and their love = achingly beautiful and the acting was beyond superb! if they don't win all the awards I'm rioting 😭😭😭
whoever did this clip did a brilliant job. it capture the song and their romance very well. even knowing the sad ending i will still reward this. Their journey is beautiful and their story is beautiful. it's worth re watching.
I've been waiting for an edit to Jaurim's song to pop up on my recommended and you did an amazing job!! I love it!! this song has so much emotion not just in the lyrics but also in the composition and the scenes you put to the bridge of this song made me cryyyy :'(((( I will quite literally never recover from this song but you summed up the story within the video so thank you
This series is a masterpiece, the most beautiful I watched so far and so is the most painful. Love and hate it so much that I rewatched it again after the ending.
There are some points in our life that we felt like we can have everything but sometimes we just need to learn to accept the truth that nothing last forever.
What a fantastic fan vid, I mean I love the drama the cast and all but this is on an entirely whole new level. Great job and thanks for letting us relive the memories ❤️
this edit is so beautiful! thank you for making this!! "you need to love someone for a break up to hurt," - yijin "I learned what love is thanks to you... Now I know what a breakup is." - heedo MY FREAKIN HEART 😭😭😭Their relationship is so wholesome but at times love isn't all that we need to make relationship work. The longing, disappoinment and sadness that heedo feels when yijin failed to keep his promise and keep saying sorry to her just makes my heart aches for her. You can just see and feel the pain through her eyes and the slight twitch of her smile. I understand why heedo said breaking up is the right thing to do but nevertheless, it still hurts. I'm glad they seem to be doing well and okay in the present day tho😭😭😭
I keep thinking what would have happened if Hee do would have gotten the diary earlier. Would they try to be in contact then if they realized how much they loved each other actually. It hurts even more because 7 years later they are both in the same town again, hee do retired from fencing and he is an anchor not a reporter so doesnt have to travel that much. They showed throughout the story that they overcame things together because they made each other happy, i just keep crying over the fact that they didnt choose each other in the end. And that life and distance got to them. Or they grew up to be apart from each other. I cant stop weeping at that last scene. Where he says “you will have no idea how much your love brightened up my life” and hee do saying “i have loved you with all my heart”. This goodbye hurt differently than all! 😭😭
I’ve been trying to find the perfect fmv since I finished watching the kdrama, and this is perfection! The music and timing of everything is perfect and so great! So amazing!
This video edit broke me. After a few days of doing my best to stay away from ep 16 clips, this video showed up. It hurts even more. I still cried.. just when I thought I've moved on at least a bit. Was thinking that these won't hurt as much as when I first watched it. But who was I kidding.. 😭😭😭
My ending for all the girls and boys in the world, who still believe in LOVE It is year 2002. A year passed since they broke up. One day Heedo wakes up from bad dream. It was all dream. Her marriage, daughter and everything were all bad dream. She's relieved and realizes how much she still loves him. So she flie to New York city to see Yi-jin. To his surprise she shows up and says she can't lose him. She would rather give up on fencing or anything if only she could get back together with him again. She says everything she has been through was for meeting him. The meaning of her life and existence is meant to meet him and to be with him. She says she can't go on without him. Yi-jin cries and begs for forgiveness for leaving her and causing so much pain for her. He says she was his light and he still needs her, and he would rather give up on his career if is necessary cuz he never wants her to give up on her fencing. They cry and smile in tears. And they say, "let's get married. We can throw a small wedding with familes and friends. We can stay apart for a while as a man and a wife until the duty's done." In a small church they are standing as a bride and a groom. They say "I do" and kiss each other. Twenty years passed. Heedo yells at Yi-jin, "If I hadn't marry you, I would have won two more olympic golds." He fires back at her, "If I hadn't marry you I would have made a star news anchor and even an chief executive officer of the broadcasting company." And their kids softly say to them, "Cut it off mom and dad. You were meant to be together to produce us. Now just do your duty as parents." And they all laugh together.
Ik how everyone says the ending was realistic but I personally watch kdramas to take a step from the reality to just fantasize so no I didn’t want a realistic ending cause I’m already living one.
I love you your edit, especially the last part when they are saying goodbye to each other, it seems like that they cannot go back to those memories anymore. My heavy heart is breaking... Thank you so much.
Thank you for this amazing editing, the more I rewatch the scenes the more I think the director broke them up on purpose, like in the last scene under the cheery blossom they LITERALLY are emphasizing and hugging each other and idk why they let each other go when clearly they have feelings for both. This in contrast with the second lead couple just doesn’t do them justice tbh. I think the director was too on her own mind in terms of fitting the whole plot of the drama (like I get it, 2521 itself is a bad ending song), but she didn’t give a good enough explanation for their break up, the distance and lack of accompany separating them apart just seems so weak in comparison to the relationship they built in the last 15 episodes, they gave each other hope and grew together, years of affection ends way too quickly in just 6 months. Nevertheless this drama is still very touching and one of my favorite

That break up was hard. You have no heart or compassion if you watched that and felt nothing. It still brings tears to my eyes.

I could tell from the day I heard this song that the show is so completely based off it and I was waiting for an edit which would tie them together, this is perfect! 💜 Thank you so much for making the edit of my dreams 🙌 Let's cry together but let's also be happy that this show taught us so much abt hope and friendship and life 🥺✨
Why are we doing this to ourselves 😭 So beautiful yet so heartbreaking 💔 Thank you for the courage to make this wonderful fmv 👏
The most emotional kdramas of this year, and this song , please it's so beautiful.
their couple was something special.they were definitely soulmates.they were everything
you know whats hurt? when the storyline just too realistic I CANTT
This is the most beautiful edit of this song 🌼
The best couple i have ever ever ever seen and they didnt end up together ...just wow
I made myself a challenge that I'd watch this without crying. Nope, failed. I'll try again tomorrow.
It's the time's fault, not yours, not mine, but the time
- Na Hee-Do's coach from he old school
😢💔
The pain is still fresh, though it's been years T.T What a drama
4:07 The flashbacks just broke me down 😭😭💔💔
La mia serie preferita. Il finale mi ha ucciso, ma è perfetto così ❤
It is one of the best dramas I have ever watched. I wish it were released when I was younger. Then I might have given more thoughts on friendship and my life instead of studying constantly and worrying about things that make me insecure. This drama taught me so many things that I am very thankful for that. And also it's the best edit about this drama.
No quería llorar, pero es inevitable. Esta historia me atrapó terriblemente. Muy buen edit, quedo genial!
despues de tantos meses y aun me hace llorar
onions. are there onions here?! T.T Such a heartbreakingly good show. Didn't think anything like this would exist but I'm happy I watched it. No regrets. This MV is GOLD!
My God :') This edit just made me cry :') It's so beautiful and sorrowful at the same time :') Whoever made this, did a fantabulous job💜
Like how strong a songs lyrics can be that director decided to make a whole drama about it😣
The song itself is just enough to bring the bittersweet emotions of happyness and sadness that this drama portraits, it's beautyfully heartbreaking and this video is the perfect representation of it.
All said, it's too much to take, I can't stop crying, not just because it was a sad ending but for this emotion of emptyness in the chest that I have since I finished watching the drama.
I need a hug 😢
You captured all the beautiful as well as the most painful scenes. The captions altogether makes this edit the best.
I understand the sentiments of some viewers about Na Hee Do and Baek Yi Jin's ending- it was really heartbreaking.
Saluti dall'Italia❤
when I saw this drama..... their acting, their friendship, their love story make my heart broken...can not forget this masterpiece...
Both of their acting was great but Nam Joo Hyuk woow such a wonderful acting 👏👏👏😍
This song is the most sad ost for this drama
watching the end felt like someone was stomping on the broken bits of my heart 😭

whoever did this clip did a brilliant job. it capture the song and their romance very well. even knowing the sad ending i will still reward this. Their journey is beautiful and their story is beautiful. it's worth re watching.
I've been waiting for an edit to Jaurim's song to pop up on my recommended and you did an amazing job!! I love it!! this song has so much emotion not just in the lyrics but also in the composition and the scenes you put to the bridge of this song made me cryyyy :'(((( I will quite literally never recover from this song but you summed up the story within the video so thank you
This is by far the best edit I've seen ❤amazing amazing work. It brings back all the pain and happiness we went through while watching the drama
Mannnn you killed this edit and also broke my heart again 😭😭❤️
Wow this video is so well put together...it was painful to watch it but so beautiful..their story really is one of a kind. Thank you for this 🤧🤧
This series is a masterpiece, the most beautiful I watched so far and so is the most painful.
"you need to love someone for a break up to hurt,"
- yijin
"I learned what love is thanks to you... Now I know what a breakup is."
- heedo
MY FREAKIN HEART 😭😭😭Their relationship is so wholesome but at times love isn't all that we need to make relationship work.
This series will always take up some space from me
i'm crying now ...
this video made more heartbreak than the last episode.. It hurt so bad that made me could move on to another drama. Goodbye Heedo Yijin 😭😭😭
Whole journey with this drama made a lot of laugh and cry 😌
Taught much realities and how to be self reliant and not to give up on dreams🖤
This edit is the most accurate one I've ever seen. It's perfection freaks me out ...thank you for this! I'm crying now
I keep thinking what would have happened if Hee do would have gotten the diary earlier. 😭😭
I think things would’ve been different if she had seen what he had written. At least that’s what I want to believe.
@@kennethpadgettflightparame3548 yeah thats what i want to believe as well! I blame the book store owner 😅 thats the only way i can cope 😭
I’ve been trying to find the perfect fmv since I finished watching the kdrama, and this is perfection! The music and timing of everything is perfect and so great! So amazing!
Holaaaa, muchas gracias por este video edit. Para mi es uno de los mejores C: me hizo llorar recordando el final de este drama
This video edit broke me. After a few days of doing my best to stay away from ep 16 clips, this video showed up. It hurts even more. I still cried.. just when I thought I've moved on at least a bit. Was thinking that these won't hurt as much as when I first watched it. But who was I kidding.. 😭😭😭
My ending for all the girls and boys in the world, who still believe in LOVE
It is year 2002.
😀😀😀😀
Best ending!
I think this could never be them because they always supported each other and didn’t hold each other back. No one can be happy with regrets.
I feel like this is sad too. They deserved to achieve their dreams, even if it was painful sometimes when you love you can't be selfish.
The best summary, this song and this edit. The definition of bittersweet.
This is absolutely beautiful. Thankyou for this amazing video 😭💖
So painfully beautiful edits, left my heart so heavy 😢 💔 but good job doing this with this song so nostalgic.
Why I cannot move on to this drama😭
I'm crying now. Remembering the scenes this drama. 😭😭😭😭😭😭
