The last part isn't shown after they team up as to know the outcome but if you can't guess an accurate ending at this point. You may a still be surprised somehow.

The original Predator stays a masterpiece because there were no complex plot lines, just testosterone driven one liners. You didn't even get enough time to bond with the characters. Plus, they kept kids and women out of focus. Just men doing what they do best, talk trash and punch. I liked how the only female character was portrayed. A tough smart individual. OH, almost forgot, there was no romance.

That makes them more ,,human" Not just walking-talking corpses of be like superheroes, waiting to be slaughtered. And then, the Hunt begins.
Tomas Valluch, the characters had no standing background story. All we had was a small piece of what they shared as a team, and the thinnest relationship portrayed was that Mac and Blain shared. We just know nothing of the characters except the fact that they are tough mercenaries. Movies nowadays would pull you into each characters timeline and make things go shitty by trying to make the story somehow unique, which ends up being the same story as every movie character. Big characters don't need to talk much, all they need to do is make their presence felt by the audience. Why is it that every monster has to scream when first introduced on screen? If you are dropped in the presence of a gorilla, bear, whatever wild animal, they just get the job done without roaring or trying to make things even scarier. Pisses me off. (A little bit out of topic here). All I wish is that this movie gets not to mess up the predators imposing character once more.
Do they need big background story? I mean, characters in action film, created only to die heroicaly (or stupidly, in newer movies) don´t need it. Just like you sad, They need to make presence, be badass and make sence. But we don´t need to hear another character saing: ,,You now, he´s so tough cause his dificult relationships with mother, no friends on school a death of best friend which he is blaming himself for. Give him a time a you will find his better site." Those lines are everywhere and are stupid. Those guys in Predator are flat, tough mercenaries, but They looks like ,,real, tough mercenaries, because of They presence and lines They have with each other. It was leaked that there are rogue predators who are breaking the "code" and trying to splice DNA from strong prey, and the other Predators come to put them in their place and reinstate order/honor. In the other movies, the Predators typically spared humans who defeated them in combat, and I think they're taking it a step further here... Let's hope at least. The plot point about the autistic kid controlling the ships and defeating the predators is absolutely moronic.

The original predator had SUSPENSE. These modern Predator (or Alien) movies just don't have any (AvP had some actually, which was nice but seeing things from the Predator's point of view kinda watered it down a bit) Also in the modern movies there is WAY too much talking. Why not just add some suspense and a solid soundtrack, you don't always need to small talk or "explain" everything to the audience. Let them figure some things out for themselves...

Yeah, I thought AvP was slightly underrated. Not a good film but fun even so. And I loved those flashback CGI scenes of xenomorphs pouring up the pyramids.

What happened to the directors of old who used their imagination? are we destined to just get rehashed and inferior sequels of classics?
you have one the most iconic monsters in your movie and you still need a bigger one ... it diminishes the power the predator has on screen.
Imagine watching jaws and (probably ) at the end a megalodon shows up . It weakens the power the great white has ..why do this ?

The original movie showed Arnold's bicep from the start, making the Predator from the already seem powerless in first appearance.
this is stupid for one reason. If The Predator keeps losing to humans,why wouldn't they try to create a bigger predator in hopes to win. They would never lose to humans and certainly not Danny Glover in a fight if making them look strong was the premise. I would prefer if they were allowed to win sometimes and maybe begin to take over like Planet Of The Apes. At least allow them to gain some traction on the planet if a takeover is the ultimate goal.
