Both "grandmother" and "mother " should also be severely punished and charged with negligence and whatever else they can be slapped with having left that poor friendless child with a known violent criminal. They ARE JUST AS RESPONISBLE. WAKE UP PEOPLE.
Poor Tia never stood a chance, she was being reared in the definition of a dysfunctional family. Her mother was 18 when she was born andshe basically abandoned her and let her mother raise her, her grandmother was so desperate for a man she married her daughter's ex, a felon with drug, alcohol and anger issues and her father wasn't even on the scene. They were all responsible for what happened to Tia. Some people shouldn't be allowed to breed.
This is so wrong and an insult to young mothers. The person responsible is Stuart Hazel. We would all like to think that we would know if a predator walked into our lives, yet time and time again, it's the last person you would ever expect. Thank you Jason Forbis for your unique narration. You have the perfect voice and entonation for this kind of stories. And thank you for always considering the families of the victims.
The reason Stuart Hazell lived with Tia's mother, and then lived with Tia's grandmother, is because he was sexually interested in the child, Tia, and got easy access to her because of the blind stupidity of Tia's mother and grandmother. Why would anyone in their right mind allow a violent ex-prisoner with a drug and alcohol problem within a mile of their child? Also, reports say there was a terrible smell from the attic, how could the grandmother not have known that Tia's dead body was in the same small house that she was living in?
The sick part is it is the grandmother's fault. Her daugher dated this felon first and got bad vibes. He dated the grandmother next after Tia's mom. This is what happens when you date a man younger than you and your child's leftover ex boyfriend. Tia's mother KNEW HE WAS BAD!
That's gross. I've seen this case covered by another channel, I don't remember that detail. I would seriously be questioning my mother's sanity if she was living with someone that I used to date and with a situation as f'ed up as that, certainly would not send my child to visit.

That there like dogs in heat so I don’t like to say this but he had three generations of the one family I’d question the dog just in case. England is a vulgar country very much like the American south were they marry cousins etc. Leaving a vulnerable young girl with an ugly looking weirdo was the women’s fault and not once did they ever say were the mum was !!!!

Agree!
It’s a red flag.
This poor baby didn't have a chance. How her mother and grandmother couldn't see this guy for who he truly is just breaks my heart 💔 😢
Both "grandmother" and "mother " should also be severely punished and charged with negligence and whatever else they can be slapped with having left that poor friendless child with a known violent criminal. They ARE JUST AS RESPONISBLE. WAKE UP PEOPLE.
Just as responsible? Not sure about that. Very poor judgment yes, but they in no way wanted or thought that that would happen to her. Poor thing 😢
I agree! You don't take chances with your child. WTF
Absolutely. This was one very sick individual. There had to be some kind of warning signs
Everyone has to be careful always but blaming her family for this is outrageous and disgusting. Shame on you for even suggesting Tia shouldn't have been born because this monster took her life like this. You're way outta line.
Sounds like granny was only 17 when she had the mum too. Generational losers. Can't get those council houses without a baby to neglect eh?
@@chelseanicole1911 in this case, "the last person youll ever expect" doesnt fit lol.
@@chelseanicole1911 I was a young mother and I didn't abandon my child to my mother. There are too may families like this in the UK who live chaotic, feral lives. Of course the whole family are responsible, you do not bring a violent, alcoholic, drug addict into your home and leave him alone with your granddaughter. He was not the "last person you would expect" he was low life scum who previously attacked a man with a hammer. He had convictions going back 22 years for (amongst many) GBH, racially motivated assault, drug dealing, theft, burglary and many, many more. The whole family never cared about Tia and I am not ashamed of my comment although I am amazed that people like you think it's actually OK for families to behave like this and not expect terrible things to happen. Let me reiterate her families lifestyle was a direct contributing factor into Tia's death and they share the responsibility for her death.
I was only 16 wen I got PG & I worked hard to take care of him. He's 46 & very successful. 18 is an adult. To me, the women should have been charged with being stupid & not allowed to reproduce. Any mother who isnt fit, should be sterilized to avoid future problems or bringing more delinquents into the world. Harsh penalty I kno, but having a kid is a privilege not a Right.
I don't care how sad the mother and grandmother were. They should have been charged with gross negligence for leaving a child with that man.
You have no idea what youre talking about. I was raped as a child by a family friend and no one suspected him in the slightest. For decades after. You cannot blame them for not knowing these monsters.
The guy was arrested before, didn’t they know that? There’s a red flag for me there.
Her family has to live with the fact that they knowingly allowed that little girl to be alone with a career criminal with a drug and drinking problem. I don’t know if I would be able to look at myself in the mirror.
As for him: the deepest pit of hell is too good for him.
Because that's normal on rough council estates. So he was 'normal' to them. That's the world of the lower class.

True unfortunately. Womens standards are very low in such settings. My mom was arranged married to a child mollesster . After finally divorcing him, she married a second child mollesster. Thankfully the second one didn’t attempt to touch me as far as my father, her first husband tried. Even when I told her that her second husband would seem to behave like a creep around me, she refused to kick him out. It’s only when the creep decided to cheat on her with a younger woman, my mom became upset and cried and finally broke up. When I see such videos, I thank God I didn’t end up getting murderred by those psychos for my mothers foolish desperation for a husband.

This is terrifying to me because my grandma's ex-husband wanted me and my sister to sleep over at their place several times (we were 8 at the time) but my mom refused every single time, she never trusted his facade for a second and always got creepy vibes from him. My grandma was extremely naïve and didn't see what kind of person he truly was for the longest time.
Turned out he was a pedophile who raped his own daughters when they were young.
Thank you, mom. If it hadn't been for your intuition me and my sister could have been molested or even worse, just like Tia.
I love this channel because of how tasteful you are with handling this type of content and how you put emphasis on the victims lives. I’ve been watching true crime content for years and I cried for the first time watching your Victoria Mendoza video- the way you described the victims past life was so sad. 🕊
I love your videos! Very well researched, edited and narrated. If I could make one small suggestion ~ maybe title it after the victim? “The Harrowing Case of Tia Sharp”? I only suggest this as it is her story. And titling these things after the monsters that commit the crime gives them attention that they do not deserve. His name is pointless. He doesn’t matter.
This channel is brilliant I could never pull off what they do and definately have no place to critique their work! But I get where you’re coming from and is a good point!

Unfortunately children can not pick or choose their families! So sad she had her whole life ahead of her!
Excellent narrator!
This case is so sad 😢
The sick part is it is the grandmother's fault. Her daugher dated this felon first and got bad vibes. He dated the grandmother next after Tia's mom. This is what happens when you date a man younger than you and your child's leftover ex boyfriend. Tia's mother KNEW HE WAS BAD!
That's gross. I've seen this case covered by another channel, I don't remember that detail. I would seriously be questioning my mother's sanity if she was living with someone that I used to date and with a situation as f'ed up as that, certainly would not send my child to visit.
