Thank you so much! Building the Classmates community has become really important to us. We started OBK to hang out together and decompress from serious jobs and from life lifing. Now we have the Classmates!!!!! 😊 grateful for your time and feedback
28:30 -- The widower definitely got caught in his memories and he let the intrusive thoughts win. Man, you've GOTTA know that there are some things that should never be said -- especially since she didn't ask!
50:10 - "Because it sounds like a WiFi password" is an *amazing* comment -- only second to the "person in a fantasy novel" one! One of my petty habits is that I am fully on board with family and close friends mocking parents that want to choose ridiculous names for their children before they were born. Once that baby is born you've got to let it go...but those parents can get some smoke!
That story about the breatmilk made me LIVID - no way world would I think it's okay for someone else to get the colostrum (AKA liquid GOLD) that man doesn't know baby biology smh
Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Sawyer! I appreciate you both for your podcast and videos. It gives me a good laugh and some insight on things. Also, I love hearing these dramatic stories happening in people's lives. Thank you both for being so amazing and consistent.❤ ❤
Thank you so much for the kind words! It really means a lot to us to know that our podcast and videos bring you laughs and some insight. We’re so glad you’re part of the Classmates and we’ll keep the good vibes and toxic confessions coming!
This means a lot to me. I've worked hard to not use therapy speak to over-complicate ideas (though when I talk so long, that can make it complicated enough).
My problem with the story about the husband saying in public he’d take his deceased wife back if she walked through the door is the implication that just because he loves her he’s still not over her. And that he needs therapy. It’s possible to love 2 humans romantically simultaneously. He will never not love his late wife. And not long to be with her. If he goes through therapy and works on his outlook the end result shouldn’t have to be that he only loves his current wife. He should be able to love her memory, and honor her without the current wife competing for 1st place. Also OP saying that his comment meant he’d walk out of their lives and never see them again isn’t what he said/meant. He wouldn’t abandon his children so for her to jump to that was a massive overreaction.
You stated this wonderfully. I didn't say enough on it. My thoughts were that stating he needs therapy for something OP can understand seemed like an overreaction. I do think they could benefit from couples counseling to process and maneuver this together.
@ yes I definitely agree they should pursue counseling together but I’m worried about each person’s expectations. There was a very refreshing story (or 2) on Reddit about a widow who’s new wife honored the prev wife’s death every year with her husband. Visiting the grave, holding convo about her to the kids she left behind without being asked - it just became the culture of their family unit. I feel like this is a healthier way to handle deceased spouses & if OP’s husband prefers to have this sort of dynamic it wouldn’t make him wrong/disturbed/ unhappy or unhealthy. I hope OP realizes this at some point.
@onlyblackkids first thought that popped in, but it just represented the idea that there was something to be edited out. Since it seemed like a continuous recording.
Thanks for giving us a community to lean on during these trying times. Excited for study hall!

Lol, a judge told one of my uncles that if he fed a kid long enough, they'd look like him.
that is a bad look for the judiciary system 😆

My podcast co-host fully supports this petty habit of which you speak. Low key, I do too.

He said if the step-daughter drinks the breast milk she will look more like step-mom...he doesn't know ANY biology.
