I enjoyed this 😂 It was very fortunate that you found the feather BEFORE running into the spikes 😂
By the way, the "cheese" was left in to be a harder (but tantalizingly doable) strat. For advanced players though, it may be easier than solving the puzzle by thinking :P For less technically advanced players, it's way harder than doing it normally. There's actually even crazier cheese to skip most of the level -- you can get through the hidden blocks to go directly to the mole boss by standing on an item on top of a muncher. You can travel through hidden blocks when a the muncher flies up.
haha, that's why i never bothered trying the yoshi "cheese" again. landing that jump was painfully difficult, i tried it again one more time, missed by a hair and was like "nope". and holy shit, i see that muncher/item cheese now that you mention it... that's crazy.
getting to the end without the key was a slight blessing in disguise as yeah, it led to me finding the feather ahead of time. Warpuppy dropped by and laughed his ass off at my struggle to fly into the goal, though..
i was too anal about keeping this video under 30 minutes and over-edited it. cut out a lot of filler failures. and i did get myself stuck in that damn fake block P-switch death trap at one point, after cringingly (not a word but it is now) losing my cheesed Yoshi who had a P-switch in his mouth. mistakes/regrets. thanks for watching ;)

I saw Carl's video on this level a bit ago and man you were just unintentionally cheesing the crap out of parts of this level. You definitely weren't supposed to be able to take that one yoshi through the pipe with you. Congrats.
yeah, that would've definitely made navigation of the level easier and getting the keys. i'd still have to ditch yoshi to get the bomb needed to blow up the way to the end. however, after doing that i could have grabbed yoshi and took him to the end, which would've made the ending way easier.
ryukahr Carl did a huge review of it. He knew you could take stuff to different rooms, he just wanted to be the illusion of a puzzle. But all of it was useless anyway, you could do without. You figured that level out so quickly though! Im really impressed. I think going in knowing it was a disgusting troll was the right mindset. Pooh though it was a puzzle lol!
I get so stoked every time I see a new MarioMaker video notification on my phone from Carl, Poo, and Ryu.
I know I always say this, but I am determined about this damn it! lol. Seriously though, we need to get Carl and Poo aware of Ryu so we can get a collaborative project with all Three of those Crazy bastards lol, because I mean holy shit that would be dope af right!!

Jake d carl himself admits it's completely intentional that you can get that Yoshi. Not cheese at all. If you payed attention to his video you claim you watched, you'd know that.

Liked for the most ridiculous perfect Yoshi mole jump I've ever witnessed. 10/10, was yelling at my screen to not do it, and then you pulled it off. Magnificent.
This is probably my favorite video of yours (that I've seen)! Watching you noodle your way through the madness that's bookended by your impeccable off-the-cuff play style really is pretty awesome.

You had a Yoshi in so many rooms where there were keys reachable in the walls, Fire Flowers, loads of stuff and you just ignored it all 😂😂

Aw, you should have kept cheesing that Yoshi you got. I don't think Carl figured people getting that one. He admitted to having a way to cheese the other one, but yours seemed easier.
i didn't bother since i didn't really know how to put him to good use - in retrospect, could have gotten the needed keys super easily and skipped that room where the mole falls down on the cannon and trolls your ass. but that was hilarious, my favorite troll of the level by far.

I think this would be a fun "puzzle" or "dungeon crawler" game if you brought a notepad to well, take notes and draw a map.

Great job! =D That yoshi bit would have definitely saved you a lot of time and stuff, you even brought a P switch with you that you could have used to go in that pipe haha along with an extra key you could have gotten. I'm surprised you never went for the damage boost checkpoint, did you think it was a troll?
the checkpoint at the end? there were hidden blocks that kept you from getting it, i cut that part out.
also regarding the P-switch at the beginning, yeah i was really dumb and didn't use it when i had it. turns out those blocks were filled with items so they didn't change to coins even with a p-switch, and had to be blown up with a bomb.
:O That explains a lot haha. Yeah then wow, you were really smart to figure out that bomb bit! That's cray!
i eventually hit the p-switch and saw that the blocks didn't turn. it was pretty obvious after that. but in retrospect, i should've cut that scene into the final video.
Haha It's cool, if I'm correct in assuming you had at least an hour to two hours of footage, it's very very easy to be like "I need to cut out all of this, nothing new happened" haha

He could have gotten a checkpoint by using the feather power up and then going through the door and taking a hit by the moles. I think there was cheese to the top left before the first checkpoint.

could have used the cape to get the checkpoint. then used the jumping moles from the pipe to hit the yellow blocks and carried a mole through to the goal room to bop the p switch. i bet the space below the goal blocks is clear.
