The best way to carry several bikes in pickup truck bed - Cheap, Safe and Efficient

We've been asked lots of questions throughout our travels as to how we carry four bikes, three kayaks and a trailer. So, we decided to make a video about our favourite way to do one of those things - storing our bikes in the bed of our pickup truck.

Can those fork mounts be secured in the the truck without the 2x4?

Love the trailer build!! Thanks for sharing!! I'm planning my own build soon, researching what size trailer i want. 6x12, 6x14, 7x12 or 7x14. I did want to know what engine you have in your F150. I ironically have the same truck, i have the 2.7 ecoboost though.

Thanks Rob! Great truck, I have the larger engine which was great in the steep mountains and high altitudes but sure the 2.7 would have been good too.

Is that a 5.5ft bed? How do you keep them from tipping over?

yes, 5.5 foot bed. When they are in the fork mounts they are solid and won't tip over, same as if you had them on the roof of your vehicle.
