Thankyou, it was worth capturing. Although there were a few drones there. When it was going dark I could see a good number of their flashing lights hovering over the Mersey. One followed the ship out down the river which I’d liked to have done except I’d used all my batteries up!

You’re welcome mate, I thought there would of been a lot there, I think a lot of them registered their flights and logged their flight paths etc, I think some news banners had their drones out too, I bet it was a great experience though and great to see them all up in the sky capturing the moment! Haha yea I’ve done that a few times used up all my batteries and missed the shot I wanted! 👏👍

@@Drone.vision not something I’ve seen before….green lights all flashing away!
A lot of hovering, waiting for the right shot or angle…burning batteries!
I believe there was a no fly zone over the pier due to a big crowd, so Wirral side was the way to go

Sounds great mate and a good experience too! Ye I thought the Wirral side would be better, didn’t think you would be able to get over the pier side 👍

Great. so are we all just going to ignore CAA NOTAMs and fly anywhere we like just becuase it looks good?
This is reckless and you're the type of drone users that will end up having the open category removed
No doubt you will delete this message like the others

Not at all. The most reckless thing on my flight was losing my drone on the Mersey. My understanding is that there was a no fly zone over the pier head due to the large crowds. I’ve flown in this area loads of times before so If the no fly area was any different to what I stated it was purely unintentional, and there were a large number of drones from my TOAL point.

@@DroneLife22 You need to check NOTAMS yourself, do not rely on what others are doing. It's your responsibility at the end of the day. The NOTAM was stretched along the Mersey intentionally for the unveiling, Parade and fireworks
