Thanks boys - this is good to see and know. The more I've seen of this ship from the various reviewers, the less enamored i am with her. I am really looking forward to your trip aboard her and see how that goes. Years ago I had the opportunity to stay at Raffles, Singapore and it was stunning. A blast from time long gone. Then they gut-remodeled the building so when I went back it had been turned it into a generic (albeit it really lux) hotel. Much of what made it special had gone. I'm beginning to feel that Cunard has made the same move with this Queen and just built a generic cruise liner (albeit also Lux). In the end at least they do have a choice between Queens - just hope they retain some of the ambience in the rest of the fleet and don't go generic.
It certainly does divide people this ship! We think they are purposefully shifting their sights on passenger type for Anne, wanting to attract a younger crowd, looking at those who tend to go Celebrity etc. From our overnight onboard it is hard to tell how the ship will feel, it did make us super excited for our trip next month to experience the real thing. We do love the queens as they are so let’s hope they keep the choice and don’t try to replicate the feel across all ships.
Is it worth the difference over a standard balcony? I think the quality of the Club restaurant is likely the answer to that one as the room looks basically the same. Any thoughts or reports you've heard on that one?
Now I would have thought that dish on the table was for bon bons, because surely Cunard offers bon bons? I always appreciate a solid shower door, no clinging!
Nice cabin, especially the glass shower door! Nice wide balcony and chairs. Extra short hanging space below the safe is a little strange, unless you have a small child with you.
Great tour as always guys and Anne is growing on us now, but the wardrobe space in the Britannia stateroom is woeful, much less than QE/QV. There is no way we would be able to fit all our suits and shirts in that tiny space. We are glad our first trip is in QG, but we do have another booked for next year in Britannia, so I think we will be buying a box load of magnetic hooks for that voyage 🤣
Thank you! We really liked our time and now looking forward to our next one… but we’re inside on that one 🤣 Seems to be a trend that new ships don’t have as much space, which for longer cruises would be a right pain!
We haven’t but think @kengoescruising might have. From what we could tell while on the ship, the lower half of the balcony is obstructed, so you can’t really look down, but you’ll be able to see out and above the life boats ok.
If you can get it for a good price, it is worth it, the main differences are the Britannia Club Restaurant where you have your own table and the option to turn up when you wish and then that the room has a coffee machine.
I think the ship is beautiful i love Cunard the other ships but i really want to go on QA the prices have gone up alot i should have booked ages ago ❤🤍🖤
Join us for a look around a Britannia Club Stateroom, these cost more than your standard balcony… do you think it’s worth paying more for?

We did enjoy the tour thanks lads.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed! Next time we do a tour on Anne it will be inside 🤣

Yeah, we think it’s purely down to the dining experience too, which on ours was fab. Worth the extra cost though? We’re not sure!
Now I would have thought that dish on the table was for bon bons, because surely Cunard offers bon bons? I always appreciate a solid shower door, no clinging!
Not had free sweeties on a cruise since pre covid 😕 Can’t beat a real shower door!
Looks like great fun, so very nice
Was very very nice

Yeah, overall a great cabin but that short hanging space is very odd! Maybe to hang you underwear? 🤣

❤Thanks for tour looking forward to your cruise hopefully the bugs will be ironed out
So far it seems to have more bugs than average 😂
Thank you! Yeah, hoping over the next month they’ll get in the flow! It was the same with Arvia, took a few weeks to settle in
whats the short answer - what are they key differences between the balcony and club balcony ?
If you can get it for a good price, it is worth it, the main differences are the Britannia Club Restaurant where you have your own table and the option to turn up when you wish and then that the room has a coffee machine.
None. Just the restaurants and unlimited water in the room
To answer your question, NO!
👍
