I love how in character this is.
Venti being the most natural with it, Nahida being so pure and innocent, Ei being a bit awkward but trying her best and loosening up over time, and Zhongli being full on grandpa 😂

I just cannot get over how freaking adorable Nahida sounds in this. I mean, she's almost unbearably cute in every other piece of media she's in, but her VA somehow made her sound even cuter than usual.
And yeah, I'm going to hop on the Venti VA appreciation bandwagon as well, because her voice rocks.

I feel like every Archon has a role as a friend in this song :
- Venti is like that friend that even if you don't speak for 2 years, he'll still be the same and be the leader of your friend group, always happy and simling.
- Ei is that airheaded friend who can change their mood in a second, from acting like a child who discovers a new place, to serious.
- Nahida is that friend who you don't know much about, but her presence makes the mood relaxed, and happy.
- Zhongli is like that one friend who you don't talk much to, but when you do, it's deep conversations, and you know he'll always be there to listen whatever you want to say.

Venti's voice actress unironically has the most beautiful voice I have ever heard. It's a deeper tone as far as female ranges go, but so bright. Her control is impeccable. It's like the vocal equivalent of pure crystal. And homegirl gets paid to make drinking jokes in a gacha game.

The CN VAs have sang many Genshin Fan song before. I think 2 with Lumine and Paimon, 1 with Xiao, 1 with Venti, Klee, Diona and Sucrose, 1 with Keqing, Ningguang, Lumine and Aether, 1 with Aether and Lumine. That is all I remember on the top of my head.

It's the first time I heard Kusanali's voice in Chinese and imo it's honestly the most fitting out of the other languages in the game. It's so gentle, child-like, and yet has that sort of "old soul" vibes from her... until you hear her say "flush all the bad emotions dookie away" and remember that by immortal standards, she really is still a precious bb and I love how the rest of the archons seem to treat her kindly like a little sibling.

Venti is the leader, setting the tone and backing the vocals with his guitar. He’s confident, enthusiastic, and is absolutely _loving_ that he and Nahida got those two sticks-in-the-mud to participate.
Zhongli is the background, keeping the beat with the tambourine. He can’t sing to save his life; so he levels the song out with non-lyrical participation. Even though he’s not doing all that much, you can tell he’s just happy to be here.
Ei is the support, shoring up the areas Venti and Nahida aren’t covering, and introducing a lower pitch to balance the higher pitches. She’s clearly having fun, and is enjoying being with everyone, but she’s also unconfident for most of the song, stressing or stumbling at points.
Nahida is Venti’s second, mostly underscoring Venti with her calmer lyrics, and helping Zhongli supplement the beat with maracas. She’s also the one to steer Ei back on track or reassure her, and I think her Aranara might be the drums. She might be the happiest one of the four, though not as excited as Venti is.

The song is so uplifting, like humming it would make any bad day better. Its equally as beautiful as the first fansong. And its so fun and depicts the archons properly. Venti and Kusanali as the main vocals, Raiden as support and Zhongli being so extra. What a masterpiece ❤

I didn’t mean for this to be so long but it’s just so 🥺
Venti accompanying Nahida’s verses in the background in a way evocative of Summertime Odyssey, smiling at Ei coming out of her comfort zone + Nahida giving her reassurance, trolling Zhongli throughout the song as a testament to their familiarity and dynamic going way back as he’s said to always have been fond of pranking him. He / Miaojiang sang supporting vocals in Let the Wind Tell You to uplift proteges of sorts, but here, the wind leads among friends / family.
Zhongli got cut off when they express their desired gifts / favorite foods but when you think about it, his favorite food is stated to be the wine he used to drink with the friends implied to be the OG7, furthered by the subversion of his osmanthus wine line, where instead of saying “it’s just a shame, [old friend / departed folk], when can we meet again?” (or “where are those who share the memory” in EN) he just chuckles and invites the traveler to chat with him, as if he’s no longer dwelling on the friends he lost because as if following his 5th character story, the wind returned to his side and carried along new ones.
the jokes on how there was a prior agreement between Venti, Ei, and Nahida to cut the eldest archon off, and i’d like to believe it’s to interrupt his tendency to reminisce on the past and accordingly fondly force him to focus on the moment.
Ei clearly trying her best to participate despite being out of her element while still staying true to herself was beautiful to see after all her development in Chapter II. it really reminds me of her second story quest and Makoto’s parting monologue. and that moment of solidarity between her and Nahida, both who have been socially isolated but trying to rise up to their role and understand their people, even if Ei is coming from a place of having a role hastily thrust upon her in spite of her insecurity and immaturity, and Nahida from a place of having a role and esteem prematurely stripped from her in spite of her insight. a subtle moment of two gods with similar struggles showing softness and solidarity.
there’s may also an extra layer of heartwarming to Venti keeping an eye on Ei throughout the song, as Barbatos is said to have a close connection with Istaroth / the thousand winds of time / the omnipresent god with a thousand hands and a hundred eyes / kairos of memories and moments. so maybe one way him watching over her can be interpreted is honoring Makoto’s implied sacrifice to Istaroth??
and Nahida, the newest / youngest welcome addition to the growing found again family. she has the same CN VA as Klee and you can hear the preciousness and precociousness…Miaojiang / Venti being a supportive big brother to a character voiced by Hualing once again.
it’s beautiful to see her in such a starring role, with how much she’s brushed over in Sumeru’s current situation, and it leaves me longing to see how she comes into herself and where her development blossoms. she shows off her simple analogies, pure intentions, childlike insight among friends who appreciate her presence and understand her wisdom,, all studies are ultimately derived from nature for the sake of guiding humanity, and naturally, kindred elemental gods / nature spirits would find solidarity in that, as they’d once did before in a different iteration and rhyme.
it’s such a wholesome breath of fresh air to see… reminds me of Zhongli’s descriptions of good times with the diverse yet harmonious OG7, Ei’s memory of Makoto as fostering peace and delighting in the moment, as well as Nahida’s gemstone description on her dream of diverse folk linking hands and dancing together in a circle, all made possible by The Outlander Who Caught The Wind as the song serenades… what a blessing of a second anniversary celebration

At least we know Zhongli, Ei, and Venti had met before a long time ago. Venti was also in Inazuma during the festival though we never see if he met Ei again although he was talking with Yae Miko.
