You are 100% right. The photo I showed does have dunk soles but my that was the closest photo I could get with my Getty license. MJ did wear the 2's pretty much the entire 86-87 season I forgot to add that. Please excuse my errors. But, with that being said, I still think it was the least popular Jordan then and now. The Jordan 10 is super underrated. Yes he had iconic moments as mentioned in the video but the style itself is streamlined and in dark colors they can come off as boots. The sole is unique with his accomplishments listed by years. The city pack is appealing if your favorite NBA team happen to have green, red, purple, teal, and blue (Seattle, Chicago, Sacramento, Charlotte, and New York respectively). To be honest I am so glad that the 10s go under the radar because I can purchase them retail. Nowhere near the hype of the 11s and 4s. keep that hype of my Jordan 10s.
Those 9s are so under appreciated. I just love those shoes. They beat the 6s, even though the 6 was the first new pair of Jordans I ever bought back in 92, it beats the 7s, the 8s, the 12s, and 13s. They are dope!

I think the retro 8 is a classic sneaker. The only thing about the eight is that it is a heavy shoe. Unlike the sixes and the sevens before that which were a lot lighter, the retro 8s were very bulky. And plus the straps kind of get on my nerves a little bit too. So I'm with you on that. I really like the sevens a lot. That was the 92 shoe where he won back-to-back championships, League MVPs and finals MVPs and plus he won the gold medal with the Dream team in the Olympics that year in Barcelona. The sevens don't get a lot of love either just like the twos in my opinion. But I'll choose the twos and the sevens over the eighths and the nines any day. Don't hate on the tens though. Tens are classic. I got a pair of the all red bulls over Broadway colorway.

The Jordan 1 was an afterthought. I remember the commercial with the bars on his shoes, but that's about it. Now the 2s were very well known, lots of people were talking about them. I just think they were cost prohibitive. The retros don't come close to the original 2s.

Hell new even in comment section there is soooooo little talk about the 10s... This shoe is sooo comfy, versatile and stylish. They feel exactly like 11s but both work good as a summer sneaker with a luxury feel and a full-blown winter boot, plus you don't have to worry about fragility of patent leather in 11s. Need way more love from the Jordan brand, decent colorways have been absent for a few years now really

I beg to diasagree. The 2’s on the contrary to me Is one of the best (particularly the lows) which are extremely comfortable compared with most and even newer models.

I am going with the 15's which are uncomfortable as well. 2's in OG colorway are works of art with the Italian leather so for me it's more of a luxury sneaker and goes well with shorts and sweats as compared to the 15's

I survived being ran off the highway by a semi while wearing my 8's, back window busted out when I bounced out of a ditch, and a shard of glass actually wedged in my shoe even though they were strapped to my feet. I was able to walk away in those 8's--no injuries and the shoes weren't scuffed either. They'll always be significant to me and I'll probably cop another pair whenever I get the chance.
My favorite Jordan silhouette of all time has to be the 8's. Nobody really used the straps properly back in the days, so I don't think anyone experienced what you mentioned in regards to the straps not feeling comfortable. Some of us used to curl the straps so that the clip would insert into the tiny hole located underneath the strap itself. That was the wave for plenty of years. 😎 I love the bunnies!
As an 80's baby (1980), I definitely didn't see most people wearing the strap properly on the 8, those Nike Air Raid's, plus a few other popular kicks from back in the day. I also get a good laugh when I see people purchasing those releases that come in two different colorways because that was just something people who had two pairs of the same sneaker did when I was a kid.
I was in the 9th grade when the 2s originally dropped. No one was wearing them because most people couldn’t afford a pair of $100 sneakers. My father made me pay half because he felt no sneaker was worth more than $50. LOL

I actually reverted back to the original 1's in 94 when the "Breds" were re-released and still have those in my closet. I did NOT like the 2s when they came out and skipped them (Had the original black/red and white/metallic blue in 85-86...got the 3s in 10th grade) But....today I actually would grab the 2's. The 4 by far was my favorite!

Two of my fav Js on and off court made this list, the 2s and the 10s, great performers and comfy casual shoes. The only thing that bothers me about the 2 retro (like the one on the video) is that damn boxy toe, man! The OG pictures with a sleek toebox are so gorgeous and Nike did that boxy thing with a lot of the early Js, including the 1. Anyway, great video, can't wait to see the parts 2 and 3.

I was in the 9th grade when the 2s originally dropped. No one was wearing them because most people couldn’t afford a pair of $100 sneakers. My father made me pay half because he felt no sneaker was worth more than $50. LOL
The tens are fire. One of my all-time faves. Very comfortable shoe whether you're hooping or just going casual.

I personally liked the 8's, if I dig deep in my attic I just may find them again! That was actually my final pair of new look AJ's, the designs after that did nothing at all for me! I actually reverted back to the original 1's in 94 when the "Breds" were re-released and still have those in my closet.
I did NOT like the 2s when they came out and skipped them (Had the original black/red and white/metallic blue in 85-86...got the 3s in 10th grade) But....today I actually would grab the 2's. The 4 by far was my favorite!

I have a pair of Jordan 2 Low Chicago’s and NO other pair of shoes I’ve ever worn meet their plushness and comfort. Carolina blue 2’s are dope and the 9’s are 90’s Space Jams! The Olive 9s are my favorite!!! Classic both the 2s and 9s!!!!
I love the Jordan 10s. Its really durable on the court and its nice off the court in my opinon. The Jordan 2s are nice for off the court tho and I don't know why there isn't any love for it
Two of my fav Js on and off court made this list, the 2s and the 10s, great performers and comfy casual shoes. The only thing that bothers me about the 2 retro (like the one on the video) is that damn boxy toe, man! The OG pictures with a sleek toebox are so gorgeous and Nike did that boxy thing with a lot of the early Js, including the 1. Anyway, great video, can't wait to see the parts 2 and 3.
