In the words of Jeremy Clarkson, "I've had a crisis!" I knew the Maserati quattroporte sounded brutal, but my god! Now I know what heaven sounds like! Unbelievable car! 😮❤😊.
@@stefanmare6140 Maybe Dan can chime in some more on this topic, being that he is an actual owner. But from what I’ve heard or read on the forums as such, the facelift versions of these cars with the ZF transmission are pretty reliable. But keep in mind, it’s a Maserati. The cost of upkeep, gas and regular maintenance on one of these are a reason in itself not to get one, if you struggle at all with affording it.
I hav a 2009 QP 4.7 n i’v had it since new with 44k miles on the clock. I used to look at new cars to replace my Maser-Fokker (as my kids call it) but i stopped. Bcoz i realize there is nothing out there more special than my Maser-Fokker. It has a Ferrari engine, front mid engined, seats 4 in case i hav to drive a dumbass drunk home, Pinifarina designed n OH THAT EXHAUST in sport mode!
@@jmatoya1 In general, i find the maintenance in what i call the Camry 2, 4, 6. The usual oil change, spark plugs, tires are about 2X of a Toyota Camry. 3 year things like Brake jobs are 4X of a Camry. I just did suspension on all 4 corners n i hav to change out the THREE engine mounts. Those are 6X of a Camry. The crazy windshield wipers are $200 EACH. So i now use Rain-X wiper fluid n i can use old wipers until forever. Compare to a Camry, the cost of maintenance is huge. But compare to a Ferrari, Aston Martin, Bentley, my Maser-Fokker is cheap to run n certainly much more reliable. It really is on par to a Porsche Panamera or a 911 in terms of cost. I had a Cayenne S n it sucked bcoz i pay sky high prices for VW parts. My Maserati drives perfectly n surprisingly robust. I upgraded the stereo; three mids up front n a 12-ch amp. I hav the money to drive anything but i’m keeping the old Maserati QP 4.7 because it truly is superb.
@@stifflerantique9005l Thank you kindly for the realistic and honest opinion to which we can roughly use as a guideline in any future plan of owning this timeless piece of art on wheels 🏆 👍 I totally agree with you... With proper maintenance regime & planning, owning a premium vehicle as the MQ 4.7 can be manageable while the return in joy & satisfaction is simply priceless 🥇... We just need to keep in mind that due to wear & tear, replacement parts of anything premium (not just limited to Maserati) will cost a premium. Nevertheless thanks to @stiffler antique, we can roughly estimate/budget our maintenance regime accordingly in advance to enable such costs to be manageable 🤲... What would be of greater concern would be the unexpected repairs that we are not prepared for 🤦♀️... This, more often than not, would heavily depend on whether the MQ 4.7 is treated with TLC with the occasional miles of smiles vs more than 60% of gravity defying driving. I think @stiffler antique can confirm from his years of ownership of a MQ 4.7, that it's as reliable as any other Continental performance sedan if it's treated with TLC with the occasional miles of smiles 🤲 🥂
@@koyamma9575 i hav not encountered any major engine issues but read about problems with variator (like Honda VTEC) so i took it to dealer n replaced TEM Tec variator, $12k, it'a a big number but i just did not want it to break when i'm in the middle of nowhere. Now the car is perfectly smooth; not that it wasn't; i fixed the variator before it broke.
The only differences are "physical " The Gts is lower. Front and side logos have a redline. Exhaust are dual fat in gts . Quad in S version. And it's written GTS above the glove box :p
The 2007 I had was not, but I’ve heard great things about the true automatic transmissions cars. Lots of quirks especially in the infotainment, but it had a personality you just won’t get from something else. Don’t let it get below a quarter tank!
The 4.7 is the best version for many many reasons. It's the one to own!!
i know it's kinda off topic but does anybody know of a good website to watch new series online?

Do these cars break easy?

What a glorious symphony
just look what heat does to an exhaust, 1st sec then last sec. incredible engine though

Thank you for all your comment, it was pleasure to read all 😊 Quatroporte is already sold, but soon I will be back with another great car 🎉
I’m getting a 2005 Quattro on its way and I’m so excited to hear it🔥

The cacophony of sounds. It's an orchestra unto itself
Uau !!! Amazing sound, amazing car !!!
Awesome
Does the S version let you bounce of the redline in manual mode just like the GTS trim can? Or does it automatically upshift if you dont
Omg❤❤❤
Where do we can add to the cart ?? 🥰😂
Is this an automatic transmission or Duoselect with single dry clutch?
This version already got the ZF 6-Speed automatic.👍🏻 So it’s the torque converter transmission
@@Luca-hg7yp no costly clutches correct!

Flat Plane Crank V8 Sound but Exhaust is Cross Plane Sound.
so in maserati its also flat? i thought it only had the flat plane on the 458
Does the S Version also rev matching like the GTS when you do down shifts in manual and in sport mode?

Ferrari Engine?? That sounds like a Audi-Lamborghini-Porsche over 8.100rpm
It's a Ferrari F136, just with a wet sump and crossplane crankshaft.
