My husband and I are recycling pulverized glass as replacement for sand in our eco pots. We are trying to encourage people to recycle it instead of burying in the rice fields. We are an American family living in Philippines and helping Mother Nature is our passion.

Always save any box that you get like tea powder or any cardboard box. You can use it to dispose broken glass. Wrap the broken glass in a cloth and put it inside the box, seal it and draw red cross on it and write glass inside. This will be safe for ragpickers, Cleaners and animals

Glass eventually breaks down into sand like particles. So while it does not biodegrade, it is not harmful as long as it is crushed into sand.

Yup this will acctually help ,bcoz भंगार वाला(scrap wendor ) dont accept glass bottels exept Beer bottels. Forgate broken glass. No option other than to throw in dustbin.

Very interesting and useful information. But plastic r regularly collected by corporations, but glass waste r not collected once in a month. Its risky too to store anywhere in home and dispose it. Please find out and tell the suggestions for that also

Sir today I came with an idea.
Sir, I want to make a community of people who will plant many trees on the lands in any village or city or even state by the permission of government or the owner in which 50% of total plants/trees would be given to the government or owner for environment, fruits, habitat for homeless animals and other benefits from the plants. And remaining 50% we would sell this to the paper companies ,furniture companies etc.
This project would have many benefits like --
First is that It would be a very great help to the environment. Second is that the deforestation would occur in a limit. Third is that this community would give a lot of jobs to the people who are illiterate as well. Fourth is that we would plant many medicinal plants as well which will increase the number of natural things instead of toxic chemical things which we are using . It will also reduce a lot natural disasters that often happens. Etc.
If we work on it we can make it worldwide so that we would be able to work on a larger scale.
I have also thought of an idea to make an app where people can donate some money those who worry about environment but they do not have enough time to plant a tree and look after it for many days .
Sir I found this idea very effective that is why I thought to share it with you.

Local Recyclers (Raddiwala) don't accept glass in most places. Where else can glass be given for recycling?
Beer , bottle they accept but they do not accept other stuff made out of glass .
