2024- Ben still hits hard as ever
This was my wedding song. Which still gives me warm feelings of hope and desire despite the marriage ending years ago. This is a pure wish, pure intention and pure hope. Blessings
same here, except for the fact that we're celebrating our 20th anniversary this year. Hope you're ok.
Forever was RIGHT THERE!
@@bscott18 yet so far away. ❤️.
Lol. 😂
This song is well worth a million likes... Thx bro
BEN HARPER I LOVE YOU
Beautiful Song 🎵 ❤️ ❤🎉❤🎉❤
Got one of those broken hearts right now. He ain't wrong.
In 2007 Ben Harrper released an album called Lifeline. I am humbled by the fact a person who has never met me somehow understood so much about what was happening in my life from a spiritual and most importantly emotional aspect. Truly blessed.
Yes yes yes
That's what good music 🎶🎶❤❤ does to us healing
I went 15 years longer than I should have before embracing your music, Ben. Your
positive self expression would have been a sound guide through my formative years. When I finally played an album I'd had in a draw for years, I was sorry for the time that had slipped by without having your songs by my side.
I made up for that last week when I handed you a CD at your Brisbane concert. By your side.
;)
We know Ben is nails , but that bass line on the Ricky, is poetry
You met Bens music at the perfect time my friend.
This a very special song to me… ^^
i think ben harper is the soul of music
a harmony of real music and lyrics
from morocco

Coucou j'attends avec impatience son nouvel album en acoustique qui va être comme d'hab formidable, il est toujours le même tel que je l'ai découvert par l'homme de ma vie il y a 8 ans que j'adore....splendide

Formidable,trop cool
A mais linda music do meu ben
Adoro!
I'll never forget discovering Ben Harper. He was opening up for Pearl Jam. Then, Ben had Jack Johnson open for him, and that's how I first heard JJ. Strange how it all works out. Anyway, I need to open for someone...
such a beautiful Rickenbacker...
Same thing from Algeria ! Peace ...
synthe solo is the particular tender bridge in this song. Ben voice is so good but we already know that :)
to my knownledge, the synthe in the original recording on the album is a Hammond organ, with a Lesley speaker. One of my favorite sounds.
@@DennisVandenBroeck correct, not a synth… it’s 100% analog tonewheel goodness.
heart
Grazie
relax!!!
i love u
I think that's a wide-angle lens designed to capture all of the band members.
HARP IN G
what kind of lens you use for a wide type of video like this?
jolis tapis :)
woot
Why does the Hammond sound so weak and like it is 'Phazing'?
Old question, but… likely that all the players are recorded “from the floor”, which is hard to mix perfectly. Also, the organist is likely using an expression pedal to bring the volume up and down as the spirit takes him. And isn’t the the ‘phasing’ just the spinning horns of the Leslie? Sublime to hear live, hard to capture in a recording.
@@marcuselia5329 I still don't like the end result though.
@@monsterjazzlicks yeah no, it’s not a very good mix. The front+centre of the Hammond on the album version takes my breath away every time I hear it… Hammond goals
@@marcuselia5329 It's not really my bag to be honest.
