Where did you learn all of your carpentry skills? You’re doing a very noble job of restoring these old cabins for not only yourself but for future users that you may never know. I’m waiting for part 3 of your latest video to see how you install the new floor in the cabin. Best wishes and keep up your great work!

Stopped by this cabin in May with my Dad when we ran the St.John River. The cabin definitely needs work. I believe there was lumber under the tarp that was meant for the rebuild effort. Is there access to this cabin other than the river? Let me know if you need a hand. I might be able to get away for a few days as an assist.

I like your St John videos. So are these camps in the Allagash Fort Kent areas? Toying with the idea of a small lot or small camp on St John's up there. Not too easy to find something suitable but I like that Eagle Lake, Fort Kent, Allagash area to get away from the world with the wilderness feel, whatever that means in the modern world with gps, satellite internet, big batteries, generators, etc. I've got dry camps near Rangeley and in the Boundary Waters near Grand Marais and Thunder Bay. Remote today just means driving on a gravel road to your camp but even 40 miles out to town is an hour, so no big deal if you plan once every week or two for restock. Yes winter, no road plowing, so I have wide trach snowmobile with trailer for hauling.
