Man this is good! Not too fantasy and not too over the top. Consider me impressed!. As someone who comes from a *very* traditional Icelandic family, and ancestors whom were sailors and soldiers both, this speaks to me on a level I think most won't understand. Hearing this song brought back memories of when I use to hear the tales of my ancestors heroic deeds and sacrifices, their honorable defense of my home and it's people. The ship & sea has been a very important part of my family and lineage.

I discovered you through this piece of music, and I think it remains my favourite. The drums, instruments and voices complement each other perfectly, and the general vibe faultlessly brings up tears somewhere at the back of my throat. It reminds me of fallen men, of their ghosts roaming wild seas and shores, invisible but for those who know to hear the faint echo of their presence, their names forgotten but their deeds forever carved in History, dead away from home but with honour and courage, while living a life they chose, in line with what they believed in and fought for. (Yeah that sentence is long but I didn't know how to split it)

Ice slowly sways on the freezing waters as a dark and long boat glides along. It is carrying the feared Polaris clan, lords of snow and cold. They are returning from a successful plunder, with chests filled with gold overflowing on the deck. An iceberg moans and cracks as it is plowed in half by the longboat, which is now disappearing into a thick mist. Without the ship in the way, rising smoke could be seen in the distance. A scarlet light stains the darkening sky, and the screams of women and children echo into the quite night.
