I remember my first time getting my nails done and I was so stiff and nervous that my hands were shaking really bad lol. They shake anyways because of nerve damage, but it gets worse when I'm nervous. After I got used to what they were doing and them telling me to relax I did as they asked. So it went smoother from there. Now I do my own because I've been to too many chop shops that have cut me (not just with an e-file but a hand file), filed my nails way too thin for adhesion, didn't even push my cuticles back before removing the shine on purpose so that they would lift so you had to go back every two weeks (maybe three if you're like me and your nails grow slow),acrylic on my skin, etc. I got tired of it. So during quarantine I started teaching myself how to do my own. I'm still nowhere as good as you, but I'm getting better. I'm a new subscriber and have a question. Do you remove the dead cuticle first if the client needs it? They came out so nice and you did such a wonderful application!
Yes you remove the dead cuticle off the nail plate during the prep, it helps with lifting. If you see some dead skin poking up from the cuticles at the end you can always go in with cuticle nippers if that's what you mean. That's what I do. Good luck!

And the ones on their phone, even though the person they are talking to can't see them, they wanna talk with their hands, while I'm working on their hands. Lol...... some people do these things and don't realize what they are doing, or that what they are doing is making it hard for us. Some people just don't care! Just inconsiderate!

Hey sisss, it normally Depends on how many designs I'm doing and how long they get them. I try not to go over 2 hours if I'm doing freestyles that are lengths up to XL. and basic sets like this are usually between 1 hr-1hr 20m depending on length. Trust me, don't worry about the time. If they want quality nails they'll sit and wait!
Yeah I’m a beginner and my mom does this when i do her nails i said i don’t care how many time imma say please relax or i can’t do my job they make it harder on us to do a good Job . We need full control of the Ahmad for a good Set .

Can you do a video showing how you hold your wrist/hand when doing acrylic application/using the drill? Or angle the camera down more so we can see how your wrist/hand looks when doing it. Most states are only concerned with the tech following safe application of product not how many beads you use. I too wonder what state you are in. Lol

Listen, most finished nails don’t look half as good as your application!!
It’s the clients that don’t get the picture that they have to have their hand relaxed. You can tell she wasn’t relaxed which makes it harder for the nail tech.
