Love hearing your perspective Kalyn! I struggle with digital only planning and ADHD - my solution is using the Laurel Denise paper planner which shows your entire month plus the current week all at the same time. It has helped me SO much! Each weekend I input time specific appointments into my Google calendar with reminders but my LD planner stays open on my desk so I can glance at it anytime. I used to buy like 6 different planners every year trying to find the right one but LD has been working so well it's the only one I've used for 3 years now!
2024 for me was filled with struggling with sharing calendars with other people who needed to know my schedule, but ending up being overly difficult to collaborate with the calendar. My calendars have been mostly personal stuff but I found that I only put in appointments, jobs I had scheduled and the kids activities. Been spending the last few weeks of the year trying to find a solution where I can do, what I now know is called, time blocking, and be able to see this information on larger format screens as well as having access to it all on a mobile device. I also want to do more hobby and content creation, which I haven't been doing because I haven't been organised enough with my time. 2025 is going to start off with some setup of Notion and Morgen
I think it's pretty obvious that one of my goals for 2025 is to migrate almost everything into Notion instead of having it spread around on different plattforms which has been going great so far!
I loved this! I have had the same issue with a "real" monthly calendar and will certainly be looking at the one you suggested. I have missed being able to just look down and see what I need to be doing, and where I need to be going in an instant. Thank you!
Hello. I am glad that Notion works for you. Watching this video, it seems like so much is redundanacy and so much 'extra' work to organize... it just looks way to confusing to me. But if it works for you... awesome. Thanks for sharing.
The goal is to find what works best for *you* and your preferences! I’m curious what you consider redundant and a lot of extra work? The only info I’m duplicating are events (from my calendar app) and travel days (from Notion). All tasks, goals, projects, and content I produce is inside Notion and that’s where it stays! ☺️
We're word of the year buddies! - mine too is fun 🙂 I've been using MiGoals Goal Digger weekly layout planners for YEARS plus I'm a Google Gal (cal, tasks, keep) but have recently added Notion to the mix. You've made me realise I need to sit for 5 mins and take a better look at my stack for 2025, thanks! I've also been using a 5 year journal for 10 years! Much easier to come and go from as I'm not a journaller. Have a lovely Christmas!
for me, i implemented a strict budgeting strategy to track expenses and set clear limits, while also focusing on a smart investment approach. In just six months, my investments grew by over $20,000, boosting my savings and financial confidence. This combined strategy has set me on track to achieve my long-term financial goals.
Thanks! The strategy was all thanks to Lorrie Greta Hillard, a brilliant financial advisor. She helped me create a personalized budgeting plan, track my expenses, and prioritize savings effectively. Her expertise made all the difference in reaching my financial goals!
I tried the Hemlock & Oak daily planner last year too and I only lasted a few months as well. Too cumbersome to keep out/open, though it is gorgeous. I ended up switching to an Erin Condren daily duo which lays flat and open on my desk. It has monthly/weekly/and daily overviews whenever I feel like I need them (mostly I use monthly and daily, but was missing the week when it wasn’t there - very helpful for meal planning/events/general overview/schedule). This year I’m adding a bullet journal for some of the longer term tracking things like health goals and masterclasses and general goal setting. I have a lot of this in notion as well, but I find I need the paper…I think better there, and notion does a better job of organizing. It’s all a process 😅😄
Great video! I am trying a new approach to my learning in 2025. I am adding a task to implement each course/video. I plan on using Notion to keep my notes and thoughts. I have a database with all of my courses. I thought I would use the course to-do page for my notes. We shall see what else I a might need in January. I am using Notion, Morgan and Daniel LaPorte's Heart Centered Daily Planner. I too am struggling with the all electronic calendar. I too have most of my notification turned off. I might find that the daily paper planner is too much as I have been using a weekly planner the past few years. I have been a daily journaler for 5 years. I prefer hard back journals that lay flat with lines.
I am using Lisa Woodruff's Organize 365's 2 1/2 year planner for monthly overview and The TOP Planner(Time Management Organization Productivity) by Megan Sumrell for weekly paper planning. Google calendar and Notions (mostly your templates thank you) are my go to online options to corral all the nitty gritty details. I hope to investigate Morgen in 2025. Really looking forward to what you discover for documenting and organizing what you are learning. I'm having a difficult time with that also.
Actually, my husband and I are full time RV-ers, so we move around quite a bit. (You can check us out on www.youtube.com/@OpenRoading if you're curious!)
Do you have your content creation database linked to your master task list? If so, how do you do that? I just set up a content creation database in Notion and I would like it to populate in my master task list all of the tasks that I need to do for each blog post.
Yes, I do! First, you’ll want to connect the two databases via a Relation property. Then create a content database template for your blog post (if you don’t already have one) and add a button to that page inside that template titled, “Add New Tasks”. Set the button action to add a page to your Master Task List database and set the properties you want to populate. Just make sure that your Content Database Relation property is set to “This Page”. Example: share.cleanshot.com/8FjsmqRT You’ll do this for every task you want to add for the blog post so when you click that button, those tasks will be added to your task list database. However, to get them to show on that particular page of the content piece, you’ll also need to create a linked view of the task database in that content database template, but filtered to where that template is selected. Example: share.cleanshot.com/Pc3yZVtY Hope that helps!

I LOVE this! It's such a good feeling to finally find the thing(s) that work for our unique brains and needs!

Here's to a much more streamlined 2025! Notion and Morgen have really helped with personal and business and I hope the same for you.

I can't wait to hear how this goal goes for you! So exciting.

I'm excited to hear how this goes for you, too!
Good luck! I would recommend the book the power of fun catherine price

Oh hey, word buddy! :D Excited to hear what you decide for your 2025 planning tools!
May your 2025 be filled with fun. Excited to hear how the hardcopy planner pairs with Morgen.
I am looking forward to it, as well! Thank you for the wishes. Sending some back your way!
I ❤ your terminology- a “menu” vs to do.
It makes such a difference to phrase things that way!

that’s incredible! What’s the secret behind this strategy? How did you manage to save up so much so quickly?

Thanks for the tips! I was curious, so I did a little research and looked up the name.
That's my goal!
