I’m the out the shower gel in hair phase… my power breaks whenever I use a blower and/or a straightener. And I’m terrified of anyone cutting my hair because they always mess it up. I’ve probably ever gotten a decent hair cut and done up like 3 times in my life. That’s wild to think about! But that’s the phase I’m in. It sucks 😅

By the time her hair springs up and settles again the amount she cut off would’ve been practically invisible so I really don’t think there would be any need to fake it with a wig 😅 Lots of people trim their hair like this regularly between proper hair cuts, especially those with curly hair 🤷♀️

@@martina6700 i feel that. since i've found the right routine for my hair (i think). wide tooth comb in shower, infusium spray, moroccan oil, wrap my hair in cotton it's been getting less tangled but braiding makes it basically knotless.

@jazmorgann a lot of trial and error. I like glam belle and manes by Mel on YT. I look at their "easy/ quick" routines. Don't feel like you have to buy expensive products - I love tresseme gel and mousse. My current routine is wash, use a curl cream in the shower, put a LOT of mousse, then a LOT of gel, diffuse, and then scrunch if it's too crunchy when dry. I wash about 1x/ week. You'll find what works for you!! 🥰 good luck!
Me too. Now I want my curls. Will never get short hair again because my curls went wild phase instead. I slowly got curly hair. I originally had straight straight straight hair. Now I get the bell curls. I don’t even mind the frazzled lion floof that I get when it gets humid or brushed out.
at 59 I have finally found a hairdresser that knows how to cut curly hair..it sure has taken time..and she converses with me..I'm sorry if this comes across rude, but a lot of the hair salons are run by asian women who will only converse with each other and not the client, other than the initial "what do you want done"..Aussie here.

Majority of hairdressers I find either cut it likes it's straight and then are surprised when the dried version is way shorter than they imagined, or they just straighten it within an inch of it;s own life and then cut it, and the curls still destroy the "cut" when it comes back because it's not designed to stay that way with curls.

Okok I literally could not get my curls to look right and I hated them soo so much but here’s what I did to actually make them look like they didn’t js get coughed up by a cat: 1: You need to have soaking wet hair 2. Add some leave in to your hair (I use the not your mothers one) and brush it straight 3: take some curl cream about the size of penny and glide it through your hair using prayer hands from root to end 4: Take some hair mousse (not too much) and evenly distribute it to your hair not really including roots(not your mothers again what can i say their good) 5: take a bit more mousses and like evenly put a bit on your scalp then flip your hair over with your face to the ground and all your hair in front of you and like really get it into the roots with your fingers 6: scrunch in the same position you were last step 7:scrunch with curl gel (not your mothers again help) 8: take one of those hair wrappy cloths or a cotton t shirt and in the same position and the last few steps scrunch and hold to scalp 9: diffuse: hover it over your hair and always dry roots first then section and do rest of hair 10: I like to flip my hair a few times and mess with it a bit for more volume and I forgot to include this but if you want extra top volume then before you diffuse your hair take a claw clip and close it on the hair on top of your head and instant volume Okay all done I’m not sure if it’ll work for you but worth a try fs

I had it down to my waist when this genius washed my hair by piling all on my head and made a foamy spaghetti with my very fine yet very curly hair!!😮😮 We had no choice but chop it out. She literally made one solid dog-hair matted mess. When I see these poor dogs whose fur is one solid mass, I know how they feel. I don't know what she was thinking.🙄

Same and my hair is mostly straight it's just thick and gets tangled like 5 seconds after brushing it. Though it gets curly when it's drying. I air dry it.
I experienced all phases except for the unbothered phase, I was always bothered lol but now I fully understand my hair and I let it curl naturally with minimal products and I love it! Still straighten it for a change once in a while.

Try brushing it while you have conditioner and then scrunching it with a curl cream and a diffuser

Same😭 during my 5th grade year (it was online learning) I never really did my hair since I just had my camera off. Which then 6th grade came and I had to do my hair myself, which pretty sure I damaged it😅 it was until my 8th grade year it got a lil better

As a girl with extremely thick wavy curly hair I went through the brushes out phase as a child, the crunchy phase and the if it rains im ruined in middle school...now I'm in my unbothered phase and I feel so comfortable

Same and my hair is mostly straight it's just thick and gets tangled like 5 seconds after brushing it. Though it gets curly when it's drying. I air dry it.

The “If it rains, I’m ruined” phase. Which was pretty much most of my childhood.😂
I experienced all phases except for the unbothered phase, I was always bothered lol but now I fully understand my hair and I let it curl naturally with minimal products and I love it! Still straighten it for a change once in a while.
