Excellent report! The game is excellent! I am just studying these rules. The figures are magnificent.Excellent legend of the squads. I plan to adapt it for the book Black Arrow
Great video, thanks! I've been experimenting with some Perry kit-bashing recently for another project so lots of good ideas here to try out. And happy New Year!
That's great timing, I am just in the process of painting up a couple of Retinues for Rukus and this pops up! Lovely work on those forces Martin and a very Happy New Year to you and yours! Cheers Tony
Absolutely, had a cracking time doing some research and just coming up with a story, tried to think of something that could be a Sharpe-esque storyline 😁
Interesting topic and beautiful miniatures. You are switching systems quite a lot lately....I like!! This is so "me" :). Anyway, looking forward to the bat rep! Happy New Year and greetings from Austria!
Really appreciate that thanks, the narrative is just some fun but it helps create a fun little drama which we are going to play out over @ little trilogy of games 😅😁
Happy New Year, Martin, and I look forward to seeing more on this in your upcoming video. (One small thing at 1:47... I'm sure that the word is pronounced 'RET-IN-YOO', not 'RET-OO-IN'. I'm happy to be proved wrong... 🤣)
Haha happy new year. It's one of those things, heard it both ways, one with the French pronunciation and then the Anglicised version as well. Same way I hear Pavise pronounced Pa-Viss and Pa-Vase 😁👍
Thanks, glad you like them. There are certainly lots of historical skirmishes and feuds you could explore and also therefore lots of room for your own creations 👍
Thank you 👍 that's interesting, I did look at a few liveries, i like to think it looks like one that "could" exist if it's similar, as I say, tempted to do more but need a break first haha, thanks for watching
I've been wanting to play ruckus but I think I'll wait to see if a rules compilation is ever released, it's too hard to talk down all the scenarios, mounted rules, etc. when they're all in different spots between FB, blogs, Wargane illustrated subscription, etc.
Not my cup of tea but looks intresting and fun if that's your thing that why there is some thing for everyone in this hobby Happy new year to you and your family Martin
Would the Wargames Atlantic Age of Chivalry stuff fit with this period? I am trying to get the most out of the stuff I have without needing to buy more
So, some of it 👍 the peasants can be used to represent labourers or brigands and with some head swaps and proxies would be able to represent the commons that were raised at different periods of the 15th century. The knights and sergeants are more based on the 13th century but I believe there are some plans and files on the FB group to use them, certainly you could just exclude the gunpowder rules and have at it and play a game based on the Barons War between outlaws and the local lord or something - hope that helps

Awesome mate, that will look excellent, look after yourself and have an excellent New Year 👍
Great video, thanks! I've been experimenting with some Perry kit-bashing recently for another project so lots of good ideas here to try out. And happy New Year!
Fantastic, looking forward to hearing more about that 👍

Brilliant mate. Two fantastic looking retinues. This also shows how to create your own take on history.

@Major_D_Zaster 😅
Nice looking forces - it’s an interesting period for small skirmishes between the big battles

Looks great, the French livery looks very similar to the city of Caen's.
Thank you 👍 that's interesting, I did look at a few liveries, i like to think it looks like one that "could" exist if it's similar, as I say, tempted to do more but need a break first haha, thanks for watching
