I'm here only to say that the 75th anniversary of SUPERMAN was freaking sick. I loved it but the comments were disabled so I couldn't say anything. this one was ok
I to was hoping for his 75th to get something like we got with Superman I like what we did get but something like what superman got would have also been pleasing had it been to the two shorts.
I hope Snyder gets his inspiration for Superman's resurrection from his Superman 75th tribute. The part where he smashes the aircraft is perfectly cued with the theme. That could be Steppenwolf's face, instead.
#DCAllAccess celebrates 75 years of Batman with a visual trip through his past, offering a look back at the character's many and varied looks: th-cam.com/video/10yAerkDf4o/w-d-xo.html
“As I was researching his rich history, I became fascinated by the idea that every Batman story was in some way biographical - From the savage, young, pulp-flavored “weird figure of the dark” of his early years, through the smiling, parental figure of the 1940s and the proto-psychedelic crusader of the ‘50s, the superhero detective of the ‘60s, the hairy-chested globetrotting adventurer of the ‘70s, to the brutally physical vigilante of the ‘80s, and the snarling, paranoid soldier of the 90s.” - Grant Morrison
I think he's the coolest superhero in comic book history, superman is the best superhero in comic book history, and flash is my favourite, but I guess it's a matter of opinion really.
***** Batman does better at what? There are many characters with no superpowers that do unbelievable amounts of good, that''s not what makes batman special. There are also lots of extremely powerful superheroes that do unbelievable amounts of good, but again that's not what makes superman the best. What makes batman and superman so great are their characteristics, how they act and how they choose to use their powers better than others, super-powered or not.
thevarioty436 superman has either been a goody two shoes or portrayed as an arrogant d-bag (imo) and honestly I think he's too overpowered to be interesting. There's no real threat if you're holding back your true power in order not to kill the villains. Only Doomsday Darkseid and maybe Brainiac (just because of the complexity in his schemes) actually pose a threat to him in most cases
silverchicken20 I disagree, i say true power is showing restraint, true power is knowing how to use it, and for a character with such power, it takes a lot of character to to know how to use it, that's what i like about superman, his character is not afraid to be pure good, he represents good and he doesn't apologise for it when he's written well. Also imo saying he's OP is a cop out reason to not like him, it doesn't make sense to say he's too overpowered to be interesting, he's had some of the most popular story arcs that started trends and inspired many over the years. anyway every team has an "op" character. While most characters have two alter egos, superman has 3 Kal-el/clark kent/superman giving him more layers of complexity and more character to explore than most. There is so much too him that makes him so interesting. I've always found both fascinating even though their methods and values feel so backwards to each other yet they are so alike. I've always found them to be the greatest duo to ever grace fiction.
@@NukeA6 no it was 1971 Neil adams run on Batman that made him serious again. For some reason way too many people credit this to frank Miller or Tim burton.
@@Delta-ass Batman became serious again in the sixties. For a while, he returned back to the campiness because of the 66 show and then went back to being serious again in the end of the decade.
A character isn't a good character because of his profesion nor his secret identity, a character is defined as good if the way it is written captivates the reader and by how good its stories are, Batman isn't the most popular comic book superhero/hero/vigilante of the world because of his money or his costume but for how decades of his stories helped to break comics paradigms and thrill the audience like just a few could, from The Dark Knight Returns, going through Year One, A Death In The Family, The Killing Joke, Knightfall, The Long Halloween, Batman: Arkham Asylum by Grant Morrison, Hush, Court and Night Of the Owls, passing through The Dark Knight's trilogy, which if some of these may not be the best stories they sure contained elements that marked a way many others would follow during the years.
Love how the music changed from Adam west's fun time to Nolan's tortured sad time. (i use the movies as a famous obvious reference point since they are well known)
Notice how the music started to get darker as it was approaching the 1970s. That was the point when Batman started to get dark, before then his stories were lighthearted and campy (save for the early 1940s comics) and that is what Batman the brave and the bold was based on, so stop hating.
Jovorne winter True that buddy..Of course Bruce Wayne isn't normal as are most super heros..What wack job dresses up like a Bat and jumps off roof tops ..Even if my parents got murdered I would honor there lives not avenge there deaths..two wrongs don't make a right..lol...But this is a world of make believe and fantasy..a world that I love and is a great escape..And at the end of the day I don't recall DC giving anniversary shout outs to any of the other superheros other then Superman..Actually without Superman there would be no others...All the other superheros have there devote followers.. DC and Marvel . but for me Batman is just my thing
Waynesbutler I think he was referring to Bruce Wayne's mastery of 127 different martial arts, over-200 I.Q., technological advancements, study of ninjutsu, dozens of Master's and Doctor degrees, training with Ra's Al-Ghul, billions of dollars, etc... as a fellow Batfan, even I can admit that's not exactly the image of a "normal" superhero. Rorschach and Question are closer... then again, guess what character inspired theirs...
***** As one Batfan to another I guess we can say that Bruce is a overachiever..The strange thing for me is I am not like most fans..I love Batman not because of a long history of storylines and achievements but just because of how he looks..It was the ears the cowl and the cape and also the dark nature of the character that hooked me....The fact that there is movies and comics and a vast endless cavern of storylines...some great some not so much..is just a bonus..Maybe to some I am not a true fan but I have spent the last few years of my life trying to show it on my channel..I could have been doing something else...always like to meet new fans of the Bat
My bet is that they'll do one like the Superman video for Batman as soon as we see the final Batman (the Batman of this new DC film universe) on the big screen...next year. Cuz the Superman anniversary vid ended with Henry Cavill's Superman + the Hans Zimmer soundtrack. So for them to show us a complete transformation of Superman, the movie and soundtrack of this new Batman has to come out. Then fingers crossed we'll get a Batman anniversary clip that we deserve ;)
I think it's kinda clear that along the years Batman and the other mainstream superheroes have gotten darker and darker in comics. I'm not completely against that, but I think it's just time for a change...
I really want to see some happiness and fun back in the DC universe. It was always heading for darker paths though having the Golden, Silver, and Bronze age history in there helped maintain the balance of fun and dark.
love the music. from the kiddy and childish soundtrack with batman's smile to darker batman with serious face all night, like hans zimmer dark knight soundtrack.
We went from the superbly epic Superman anniversary video to this? That's like you watched a clip show ending for a TV show after watching the finale of The Avengers.

Nick K. yeah thanks to zack snyder!
I was hoping it would be more like Superman's 75th anniversary Montage. It was still good.
I'm more of a Batman fan anyway. Haha
Btw have you seen Assault on Arkham?
James Sanford no I haven't yet.

Martin Sevcech I totally agreed.

I love the change in tone of the Batman verse during the 70s.
This Video Is Lazily Made, The superman one was better

They forgot the Batman from The Killing Joke.

At least we have the Batman Beyond short. That one is real schway.

DC won't make one like this for Superman. DC is obsessed with Batman, so Superman won't get anything.
John Chakkour you are right brother. . .
John Chakkour They already have.
JasonJacksonJames Maybe on the 100 years of Superman.
They should have done like the Superman one. It feels cheap for the world's greatest detective to have just a few pages as his tribute...
My favorite DC hero!
Superman retrospective was much more creative. They phoned it in, guys.
