That's Agony mode for you. It is aptly named. If you don't do things right, you are going to be miserable. As a minor spoiler, do not continue to read if you don't want to try to do this yourself. So when you first start on your journey, you know you can hire rage and you can get Olen by buying him a drink. Well, if you give up most of your belongings to try to save cheese legs, when you actually get the drink to hire Owen, you'll find that he has turned into a joy mutant. And then you realize rage is going through withdrawal. You then pick up whiskey from the dude after you kill him to go give to the other guy who is offering you money for the whiskey before, only to find he's dead, and the majority of everyone in the town before is now dead because of a couple of Joy mutants. It gets pretty fucking rough
This game sparked my obsession with Russian roulette again. As a kid I’ve played flash games involving it and it was such a thrill. This is brought it back!
@@camedialdamage8180 In my opinion in pointless everything after Arnold and before the end is the worst part, in hopeful the areas are too short to not make the game feel monotone in timeless everything is hard and that's why I don't feel it monotone and in vegaful everything starts feeling stupid and monotone when you enter to the second crossroads because firstly you need +8 turns to win a Battle and before you notice you win any battle, basically you are a god
I basically do it everytime buzzo takes all my stuff, after garnering up a few mags from selling ikd armors and weapons it's the easiest way to make them all back
I only use the most expendable characters on desolate expanse. There's a glitch where rage will respawn at the bar you met him every time he dies. He kinda reminds me of Kenny from South Park. Edit: Only works in Pain Mode.
There was one time I tries DE and got to the last Buzzo scene. Now I ain't exactly a masochist but I beat Buzzo and basically got only Brad left, as I've got literally all the other party members except Buffalo, Shocklord and Buckets. I used the exploit I found of reselling cheap whiskey from the new DE location and got back to 99 coffees. I got shocklord and somehow buffalo (coffee spam). I then proceeded to go for the roulette for the op boy, which took also a lot of time. Considering how few saves I had left I remembers this roulette very very very well.
