  • I bought my first Bike Repair Tool Kit Set!
Do you have all the necessary Ebike tools you need to maintain and fix your bike? There are a handful of special tools that most bike owners will need to do minor fixes and standard maintenance on any bicycle.
Here is a review of the Bike Hand YC-758 'complete' repair and maintenance tool kit. With a couple of extra common household tools, this kit should have everything you'll need to keep you and your Ebike running for a long time.
All in all, it's a great tool kit with MOST of the essential tools you will need to do the most common repairs needed on a standard or electric bicycle. I settled on this particular Bike Repair Tool Kit because it also included a torque wrench.
You can find a kit like this on Amazon by going here: amzn.to/3ldmMST
or click here (ebikeproducts....) to go to the Bike Hand Store page to see what other cool Bicycle Toolsets they have available and in stock today!

Now that I have an ebike that already needs minor adjustments, I am learning first hand why stuff like long Allen wrenches are super handy and why the thin wrenches are in the kit for pedals. When I am ready to change out my and upgrade my freewheel, I should have all the special removal tools I need. Thanks for the comment!

    What's the difference between YC-758 and YC-748?

Great review, all of your reviews are good . Add vice grips to kit. Consider eliminating the background music!

Thanks for the feedback. I am definitely cutting back on the background music or finding something that fits better at the right time. Vice grips are a GREAT idea!

Hi, I have a question for you. Given you have a Lectric eBike and you mention there might be additional tools that would be good for ongoing eBike maintenance, can you recommend tools that would be needed for ongoing maintenance of Lectric eBike? BTW, the kit you mention is no longer available.

I am slowly beginning to find that all I really need is:
      1. A good set of allen wrenches with long handles and preferably the type with a ball end like these: amzn.to/3xLgy3B
      2. A battery operated screwdriver that has allen bits. I have this one and love it: amzn.to/3wDGugd
      3. A REALLY Sharp cable/wire cutters if you ever plan to work on brake and shifting cables.
      4. A wrench set that MUST have an 18mm wrench in it for the Lectric XP rear hub. You don't need a ratcheting set, but I just bought this set 3 weeks ago and got ratcheting style so it saves a lot of time and effort: amzn.to/3xJoRg1
I am not a fan of adjustable wrenches as some can strip nuts and bolts and forged wrenches fit well.
      5. A couple of flathead screwdrivers and a couple of Phillips Head screwdrivers come in handy. No need for anything fancy.
      6. You may want handy in the extra rare case your chain breaks would be something like a small set for chain replacement like this, but I am not sure that would be standard maintenance. amzn.to/36C5gmn
      7. I don't know if this is easy maintenance, but a spoke tightening tool is good to have to and tighten loose spokes occassionally is always a good idea. They are very inexpensive: amzn.to/3B5Upip
A lot of the other tools in my box I rarely touch as they are usually things that the pros will better know how to repair those areas and how to use the tools better, so I let them do the rest.
If you plan to do more than just basic maintenance, most kits above the $50 mark on Amazon do decently well to supply those special 'bike only' tools like this one as long as you pick up the wrench set and allen key sets with them: amzn.to/3idEQMV
      Hope this helps!

Are you allowed to announce the price of this kit? Some confusion with the number of tools and price on Amazon. Is this the 34 piece or the 37? Quit a difference in price between the two?

Sorry about the confusion. The kit featured in the video is the 34 in 1 kit and I got it in early July on Amazon for $159.90. I think they may have discontinued this kit shortly after I got it. I look for it every couple of weeks and it has not gone back in stock since.

By the way, I did a recent video on fixing a flat on my Lectric XP and after doing that video and needing to buy (and use) more 'basic' tools to get the job done, I think I would recommend that people buy a less expensive bike tool kit with only the unique bike tools needed for maintenance and then find great deals on a good basic tool set with adjustable wrenches, pliers, wire cutters, allen (hex) keys, screwdrivers, and ratchet set. I think I might do a follow up review on the set now that I've had more repairs under my belt. Although I like that I have this tool set, it definitely needs more. Thanks for the comment!

Thanks for watching and commenting! How are you liking your Sondors? A friend of mine recently got his and loves it, but at 5'10" he said it was still sometimes difficult to get on and off the bike. I am only 5'5" so I am thinking it was definitely going to be too big for me.

@@EbikeProducts your welcome! I like watching your reviews. And for my bike Sondors MXS I'm 5'10" and because the bike has a seat suspension I can't put it all the way down so I feel I'm on the bare minimum height for it, other than that I really like it. and for you maybe if you change the the seat post to a regular one it might fit you.
