Who told you that all mosques in Xinjiang have been destroyed? In fact, there are more mosques in Xinjiang than in the entire United States. China is a multi-religious country. There are 10,000 mosques in Kashgar. Where did you get the information that 2,000 mosques were demolished???? There are about 25,000 mosques in Xinjiang alone and over 39,000 in the whole of China. The oldest mosque is the Huaisheng Mosque in Guangzhou built in 627 AD and probably the oldest surviving mosque in the world. The Prophet's companion went to Guangzhou if not mistaken in 620s AD.
Where are those mosques? Even this mosque is having few people and that too elderly only..

This is not the largest mosque in China. There are other mosques spread out throughout the country. The oldest one is in Guangzhou, built 1300 years ago when Arab traders travel by sea trade route and reached Southern China. I think the largest mosque may be in Yunan or Dali. Uyghurs are not the largest Muslim population. The Hui Muslims outnumber Uyghurs. Hui Muslims are descendants of Arab/Persian traders who married local Chinese people back 7th & 8th century during Tang Dynasty.

Yes, I read in a Vlog that it was not part of the traditional structure or something. Please check so that there is no misunderstanding and such matters are ultra-sensitive to the authorities. Chinese authorities will not arbitrarily demolish it without a good reason and I understand the authorities rebuilt it in a different way to reflect the past.

The fact is China has remodeled some mosques to look more like Chinese style mosques or torn down unlicensed buildings, but NO ONE has ever provided any evidence of “2000 mosques demolished in China.”

Take note that the 1st half of 1900s parts of China were "leased" as treaty ports by western powers, effectively colonised, esp. in big coastal cities. Shanghai, Qingdao & Tianjin used to be the playground of the west in Asia. Ditto Guangzhou near Hong Kong. Hence China was already very much exposed to Western ideas & influences before 1949. China did NOT just only open their door to the West after 1979.
Not every female in the west who who wears white for their wedding are Christians, are they ? they could be free thinkers, agnostics or atheist. Same idea applies in China.
Preaching & spreading of religion is allowed in a private setting in China, but not open evangelizing in public. Many Chinese who went to the West to study or work could have been influenced & had embraced Christianity when they were there. That could possibly explained for the increased Christian population, but I doubt the number is 100 mil (?)
One Mosque ...the main mosque in which jumma prayer was taking place and only 200 people...there is fear , people are not praying in a public place/mosque...that's what got me.

I don’t see litter any where, China looks neat, clean & organized.
Chinese Muslims should add Muslim showers with gentle water streams to their public toilets.
Cleaning with water after potty is extremely vital for hygiene and healthy living, and essential for Muslims, unless water is not available somewhere.
Using just toilet paper is unhygienic. Toilet paper & Muslim shower is ideal.

Not the biggest mosque Id Kah mosque(capacity 20k), but the Grand Mosque in Astana Kazakistan(oil money, otherwise they prayed in the Tent or under the sun). Capacity 235K
I've been watching your videos for quite some time and really enjoy your travels. One thing if I may request is that you need to either increase the frame rate or do less panning while shooting. This video made me so dizzy and some parts are unwatchable.
That happens when footage of 2 diff cameras is editted on one sequence. And it happened only at 2 places in this video (outside ID kah mosque)

I believe u would be paying around $20 to a Pakistani restaurant in America to buy paya in gelatin yakhni and one tandoori roti.
Evidently, prices are manifold higher in America compared to Pakistan or China but the salaries and incomes are also one of the highest in the world, that helps, so far we have not felt a significant pinch from the price hikes in the last couple of years.
Don't you nitwit know salaries are much higher in the US? And do you know how much one US$ gets in exchange in your Pakistani currency?
