I know this is satire but I felt kinda bad ‘cause I loved it as a kid despite the differences… that intro has got to be one of the best of the best to be frank and made me purchase the game purely because of it 😆
Ahhhhmmm... sorry about that! I knew the video would be a bit controversial considering that I know a lot of players that like this game as well. I do enjoy it and I 100% back in the day, I just always found it funny how freaking good the intro was but at the same time, was sooo different from the actual gameplay (like cmon, the dinossaur don't even move ), even back in 2007 ahaha
Don't Worry its your opinion, I remember when i was young it was insane, yeah if i go back to it now i could beat all the npc cars, i just enjoyed the high pact racing adrenaline. The Maps were amazing and used the advantage of "What would the view of a hot wheels car look like". I do understand that the trailer wasn't up to par with the real video game, but that's just how they advertise, and if there is going to be a remake of BEAT THAT, i hope they add what's inside of the trailer. Im just happy that there is still a live community to this day! @@Suprasumo93
I'm glad I'm not the only one who notice the intro VS real gameplay is different (or "downgrade"). At 3:51 I legit doing this as a kid and I thought the "Hotwheels Beat That!" logo will appear after the opponent hit it and the mouth of that shark will close. What a dissapointment.
I grew up with the ps2 version and recently got the x360 version. I can't go back to the ps2 version now. The 360 is brighter, more colorful, better framerate, better environments, etc. The only thing the ps2 does better is the music. The 360 seems to have some instruments either really quiet or cut altogether.
Beat That's intro is my "dream Hot Wheels game", I was pretty disappointed with the actual gameplay when I first played it. I still kind of like the game for what it really is.. At least the Unleashed games sort of scratch that itch for a chaotic, fast-paced Hot Wheels game
Yep, I kinda liked the game, but I think there are far better Hot Wheels Games than this. Unleashed is a bit like the intro of this game turning into reality.
The pure example of "gameplay doesn't match the intro" the cars rolls instead of thrown if hit by weapons, some key obstacle didn't work Do the dev team ran out of time or something?
I guess it's just for the hype ahaha At the end of the day, a lot of game intro of that time were way too good compare to the actual game. Take a look if you're interested on Street Racing Syndicate (same devs btw) intro and it's gameplay. Same thing.
Hey the game i grew up with even the game play is underwelming and the grafics arent good at leat was a big Inspernation for unleashed And to be fair it was in the ps2 physics cold handle
I really love this game is was one of game I grew up playing I really don’t finished it I still I really love playing this game even if it had some glitches and bugs but it all right. 0:36 trying to dive and the keyboard really didn’t work something’s on the intro worked.
The DS version still has the same intro, but the gameplay is even more different. Though, I had the Wii version growing up, but I never got past the Bedroom area because I didn't understand secondary goals or know how to play Rampage. I also played the versus mode with my older brother a few times, but we would just explore around, not race or fight. Eventually, we got Mario Kart Wii and somewhat abandoned this.
Never played the DS one though. Saw they have some unique cars in there. Played the PS2, Wii and Xbox 360 version but I would say i have a soft spot for the PS2. I guess is the exclusive soundtrack that weirldy each version has.

The trailer is how i imagined playing hotwheels and the game was how it was actually like
perfect description ahahaha

hahahaha That one I never thought it would happen...!
no joking, one of my fav hot wheels games
A lot of people favorite games it seems! Sorry about the video though but I always wanted to do that, since back in 2007 hehe
yo it’s my childhood game lol, kinda hoped they’d make some of these areas as dlc for unleashed maybe
hahaha sorry about that but I always wanted to do something like that back in 2007 for this game.

Yeah! First time I played was on PS2. Of the 3 versions it's the best OST. But the Xbox 360 and even the Gamecube version are just better overall!
Love the Crash Twinsanity OST put there. Really underrated game.
Yep, the 6th gen Crash game are a bit underrated by most players. Twinsanity is by far my favorite of that time!
Imagine some kind of remake with Unleashed graphics and physics with this game's tracks and music, absolute perfection

@@Suprasumo93 Once wanted to play Beat That just to unlock a certain car, and nostalgia, but I quickly gave up. The gameplay may be at fault here :p
That N. Gin fight theme from Twinsanity though during the reenact of the intro!
ahahaha Yep! Idk, that track just fits!
never believe anything you saw in a video game intro, that's what I learnt.
Yep yep!
Inferno gameplay is actually very close to the intro bc IA got extremly agresive and faster making every level a literal battlefield
Yeah, AI can be super annoying sometimes!
I mean, this happens even in actual games xd, still one of the best games i could play in my childhood
hahaha Yeah, at the end of the day this was just for fun.
4:08 While the MS-T Suzuka got hit, in the air time, it was like doing a Barrel Roll
Painfully accurate.
Unfortunatelly yeah haha
The MST Suzuka is in the intro for all versions despite not being in the ds version.
Unleashed is kinda like Beat nowadays. hehe
Pretty much that!
Nope just pure racing without weapons
I remember to leave a mine exactly in the same T-Rex rush spot to see if the shark closed his teeth, but no lmao
The pure example of "gameplay doesn't match the intro" the cars rolls instead of thrown if hit by weapons, some key obstacle didn't work

Yep, it has it's good points (environments and the vehicle roster) but I remember back in 2007 being very mislead by this trailer haha
@@Suprasumo93 and also thank god is not the ds vergion of the game you played
All my life I needed this video, I just didn't know it
Expectation: 0:04 Wow, this game looks awesome I can't wait to play it
Reality: 0:12 What the....
Well no game is expected to be like the intro to the game I loved this game growing up
loved the music choices
Ty! You can't go wrong with Crash Twinsanity
best hot wheels game
I love the vehicle roster on this one!

Yep! The intro is really overrates the gameplay of Beat That! but I can't denied that I still liked it and nowadays it's kinda classic.
😊😊
:D
Se bobear com físicas dos motores de gráfico atuais deve ser possível uma gameplay alucinante Igual o trailer (nada 1 pra 1 mas bom o suficiente)
Acho que da paar recriar legal no Unleashed (menos os powerups)!
False advertising in the 2000's.
At least the cinematic was cool hehe
Pelo lado positivo, temos os mapas q apareceram na intro
hahaha exatamente!
What is the name of the background music?
XD
Sorry about that!
@@Suprasumo93 no need to, i found this video relatable and quite funny, it was a nice video keep it up
Still my favorite hot wheels game even though the gameplay kinda mid lmao
It's just classic
