Peter, I love your great accent and your wonderful smile not to mention your masterful shooting except for the great add on at the end of this last video. A couple of off shots and basic four letter discounts of a bad show and my uncontrollable grimace laughter. A delightful show my friend. Amen, Rick
The Hares are mating. Bow is excellent for that design. And your archery mechanics and strong bow arm are spot on. Those bows push arrow high left spine sensitive.
Nice shooting Peter. You are lucky to be able to bowhunt in Denmark, here in Uk it's been banned since 1964. I have bowhunted in Canada and New Zealand when working there. Now back in England I have content myself with field shooting with primitive bows I love making. Great videos all the best Bob Taylor
Looks like you did a great job making that bow , and you seem to shoot it very well , it will be a ton of satisfaction if you harvest a deer with it , good luck Peter !!
Peter I will be building more bows soon , I use Osage orange alot but I also like using red oak and white oak alot, i will be building a center shot bow from red oak, with the riser made from red oak, polar, and purple heart , I'll post pictures and a video of the bow during the building process, thanks for subscribing , keep on hunting , I enjoy your videos , from Texas, USA thanks for ur videos
@@camushushuaia I´m not the best bowyer, I´m telling you! But I actually already made some video´s about it. th-cam.com/video/5elO7-HK_Fo/w-d-xo.html and this one th-cam.com/video/juCCEaHZnq4/w-d-xo.html But there is channels out there with much more knowledge on this subject
The bow looks awesome brother, and good shooting .... I have recently made 3 mollegabet bows and posted videos of them on my channel. Great shooting as well with your bow .... God bless you my friend, and have fun with it!
Holmgard bow? No crown, very little string follow, 65 pounds, very impressive. Nothing primitive about it. Good luck on the buck. You might practice on those hares. A 38 shell with a little led poured in the end makes quite an impression on the side of a rabbit's head, and rabbits are not bad eating.
@@tonymaurice4157 I used mine for a whole year, with both 3D and hunting. I shot one deer with it. It still shoots but its a Wall hanger now, cause it’s too heavy, and there is lots of bows more interresting .
Kult. Har laget langbue i ask selv. Veldig bra materiale. I dag lagde jeg langbue til min datter. Av rogn. Det er et lettere og raskere materiale enn ask. Fin den buen din. Ligner min ☺ Hilsen fra Norge. Sven
The dept of the handle is 3,5 cm. It’s 3 cm wide, and the shelf is cut 0,8 cm in. So the width is only 2,2 cm where the shelf is cutted! The original Holmegaard approx had a 3x3 cm handle, but I made it 0,5 cm deeper, to calculate for the shelf cut. Thanks for watching
thebig5hunter it was actually a slice of a log i bourght. The size in millimeters was: 50x200x3600 mm. I made a couple of other Bows out of it as well, but not with the same succes
Rule of thumb, figure your draw length and add 10 to 20 percent. Handle about 4 inches, plus an inch above and below the handle. About as tall as the fellow shooting it is a good length for a self bow.
What string are you using? It looks like fastflight? Too thin for B-50. Awesome, amazing looking bow and seems to shoot quiet, accurate and all around pretty nice! Spectacular job! Love it!
jessie garcia no this quiver is bourght, but I made a quiver for this bow, but i used it on my vintage Grizzly recurve instead. Watc the hunt with my vintage Grizzly to see that quiver. It was better fit to the Grizzly, than the selfbow

@Peter Juulsgaard what is more interesting? Yew? Elm?
And that is that best Looking ash bow I ever seen!!
@@tonymaurice4157 all bows in general. Glasbows, carbon bows, Elm bows etc. You know one bow is never enough for an archer🙈
That's a good bow, Peter. It's got plenty of speed to kill a deer. Just catch him with his pants down before you release the arrow.
I always trying to!
Молодец мужик!!!
