This was a pretty suitable video for me. I've been having constant cravings for quite some time now to the point where I thought it was some physiological problem going on, but after investigating it further I've realized it's just a worse diet/routines/mental state in combination with more physical activity. I've been trying to improve for a few weeks now, and it's getting better :)

I agree the less we eat a certain food, the less we crave it. I love how you talked about mindset work we have to do, rather than ''remove the unhealthy food from your kitchen''. Love this vlog type of videos :)
This was a great video - really helpful for me as I struggle with food cravings and have been avoiding writing down or paying attention to my triggers (out of fear for some strange reason). The way you broke it down was actually so simple and I don't feel overwhelmed so THANK YOU!!!

Thank you for this! I crave lays flaming hot potato chips. I have for YEARS. I live for spicy anything. But I will go through two full bags and not even feel bad about it. Mine I know is linked to stress. It’s been 1 week without the chips and It’s not been easy. I see them at the store and I want to grab em, but it comes down to willpower. 💪 we can beat these cravings!

You perfectly described my cravings! I have a very difficult time when sweets are brought to work. There’s a particular client that brings these CRAZY delicious cookies and I legit get FOMO and feel like I HAVE to eat them, even though we get them delivered multiple times a month. As I can’t just walk away from them as they are present in a social setting, is it just determination to avoid eating the cookies every time we get them? Seems trivial but I feel like it is a big setback along my fitness journey.
If this client is bringing them in regularly, how about accepting one every other time and then reducing from there? You don't have to completely eliminate treats such as cookies, but if it has been a noticeable setback for your health I would definately cut down :)

I get midnight cravings (insomniac) and my tummy actually hurts, growls and can’t sleep until after that final snack. When I Tried resisting and didn’t end up sleeping or stay asleep. But trying your advice writing a diary to track my mind.
I love this video Rachel! You seem so happy I don't know how to pin point it. I can't stick to my diet due to cravings so I will definitely look into some deficiencies. Also it might be hormonal because I do have PCOS.

I really appreciate this! I recently acquired a used exercise bike. It's not my usual thing, but I have it in my garage, and sort of outdoors, so if it's dark or raining, I can still get in some cardio.
Also, I picked up a book by Drew Canoli recently. He focuses on nutrition, and the book is focused on smoothies. Not my usual thing, but diversity is important in any health regimen.:)
I've been following you for years, and also came back to you as a go to and instant inspiration. I've recently put on a crazy stupid amount of weight (heaviest ever!) and trying to get back down. So happy Ive come back. The only thing I find hard at the moment is incorporating exercise more into my life. Thankfully at work I am constantly running up and down stairs and getting shoes for customers (climbing ladders, lifting heavy boots). But outside of that and walking to and from work I'm always so exhausted. Any tips?
Are you eating enough? Try calculating your TDEE and adjust from there. Great to hear that your job makes you feel more active.

Interesting video about rethinking your patterns and motives! Also i think that if you eat enough for your normal meals cravings will decrease. And dont buy junk food so you dont have iT in your cupboard on display.

Hi Rachel... Could you help me with a clarification please. You seem to include a lot of high carb foods in your diet like potatoes, sweet potatoes etc. I am also someone trying to cure my PCOS but also trying to loose weight. Wont such high carb foods make me put on more weight? Thanking you in advance.

I prefer to chew my food rather than make a soft smoodie. That is actually my hack, it takes u longer to eat and u aknowledge the food more. It tricks ur brain who needs more time to feel full.
I do the opposite haha since it's hard for me to gain weight and sometimes I really don't feel like chewing the food

What arm workouts would you recommend for someone with a shoulder injury? I have bursitis primarily in my right shoulder, but working arms and back is my fave!
I would recommend seeing a physiotherapist or exercise physiologist who will prescribe you specific exercises for your injury.

Haha, protein is a fuel source and an essential nutrient for the human body. We literally need protein and it is important to consume protein, especially when your goal is to build muscle.

Quite often pregnancy cravings come from something you are lacking in minerals, micronutrients, vitamins, etc.
