From Alberta Canada, you don’t know how excited I was to see this video 😂 Pike are by far my favourite fish to catch. Glad to see you enjoy those vicious strike!
Went pike fishing once up in Long Lake, Alaska, generously guided by the kind folks at Operation: Heal Our Patriots. In 4 hours, between my wife and I, we landed 52 fish. My arms felt like they were going to fall off the next day. Absolutely epic day of fishing that I'll never forget, and this video certainly brought back some memories! Appreciate the trip down memory lane. Great video!
Tip for catching pike: throw spinnerbaits, I swear when ever I’m throwing a spinnerbait the chances of catching pike SKY ROCKET. At least in MN tho soooo idk about anywhere else
Lipless crank baits work very well too, but be careful because I was just fishing the other day with one, and I ended up with a hook through my finger and a large pike on the other hook flopping around

You are an incredible fisherman, congratulations on catching big fish, this lagoon is beautiful.👍🎣😎
I started watching you a week ago and ever since I’ve just been begging to go fishing and I think it would be so awesome to go fishing right now you are just so inspiring thank you
Your TH-cam videos are awesome he’s got to keep it up because you inspire me and now I’m talking about oh I always want to go fishing and I just wanna be like you know I’m just thinking I now I want to start a TH-cam channel on fishing videos and I just want to shout you out for everything I might start a TH-cam channel when I’m a little older but you are awesome so keep it up

glad to get to know Alex Blackwell. Have to say Jon B one of the best at letting us see and know who does his camera layouts and edits. AND Alex gets to fish a lot
Make sure to do some figure 8's in the water after each cast if you are going to fish for Musky and Pike! They are notorious for following lures all the way up to the boat :)
I've lived in maine my whole life, pike are always a fun catch, try Messalonskee lake in Belgrade its some of the best pike fishing around. If your intrested in fiding new spots let me know, plus I have 3 ponds stocked with bass.

Long pauses with a couple small twitches too will often get a strike, they love to follow and they are big reaction strikers, it's why I use poppers with a feather treble a lot, nothing beats deadbait or livebait for the big mamas though
They changed my life striper fishing. Catch rate went up 200 percent, lost lures went down 90 percent. Tie one really good knot instead of a dozen rushed ones.
Should of jb welded it dude but in all reality it’s my favorite eating fish it’s really easy to clean if you know how and you get 5 fillets just highly recommended either soaking the whole fish in salt water over night and cutting the gills as soon as you catch it or soaking the meat after you filet it
Hey Jon, In a few months when winter swings by, head over to north MN, in the Chisago Lake county, you should target Crappies. They bite like crazy on most days. It’s fun fishing for slabs. They are most active at night too. Like so Jon see’s

The series in Maine is so much cooler to watch since the fishing is so similar to what I'm used to. I live in New Hampshire and since you have the place now, you should eventually do a series like this on some New Hampshire fishing! Its very similar but also has some key differences that might make for some good fishing and videos.
Hey Jon B, i’ve been trying to get ur attention, i have been trying to get more and more into fishing with better jigs and reels etc, but i’ve been battling with my parents and they said i can’t get a baitcaster unless i get a job and pay for myself, which i want to but i’m only fifteen, so i can’t really get a job and i also want to add your vids are such an inspiration and you’re the reason i want to put work in to get better, much love
hey jon. do u think you could make a video on every regions best list of baits? like what would you use in the north east according to the time of year? same with texas, florida, and any other region you’ve been fishing?
You can squeeze the pike behind the gills around the body. That only works for smaller fish. Grabbing them by the gills works the best for bigger ones. Thanks for the video. Take care.
I've fished for Pike my whole life with spoons on a lake that has the edges lined with lilly pads, about 5 years ago we switched to chatter baits since you can rip them through the pads to get rid of the weeds and keep on trucking. 10/10 would recommend chatterbait fishing for Pike, awesome "cross-over" lure.
Proper shout out to fishing pike! Everyone needs to show more love to those beauties!

So goofy? Pike love bass chatterbaits. I got a 40” pike in MN this year on a chatterbait with an 8 inch zoom lizard.
I usually buy "bass" tackle for pike
4" salamander with fish oil works great too
Mn is loaded with pike
FunXe5 Hehe yeah it is. It kinda sucks sometimes losing expensive lures to them but catching bigger ones is a lot of fun.
I find the biggest, brightest, craziest looking spinner bait seems to work the best. That, or just fish for bass, and they steal everything.
