- National house prices have risen for the fourth month in a row, but the pace of price growth is showing signs of slowing as interest rates continue to rise.
CoreLogic data show a 1.1 per cent rise in national property values over June, backing up May's 1.2 per cent increase. Sydney, and particularly the most expensive areas within it, is leading the rebound. Analysts say a lack of properties on the market is putting upward pressure on values, but some warn there could be another downturn if Australia falls into recession.
