Wow really clean drift bro, i like it! I have been driving on the Nordschleife for 1 year with the AE86 Tuned, without a steering wheel, only with a mouse and keyboard. I hope to one day have my first steering wheel. Excellent video!.
That brings back memories. I use to drive Trial Mountain with the Shuichi Shigeno AE86 on Gran Turismo 4 every day for hours during my high school years. Some of those videos still exist today on TH-cam. Back then the quality wheels were the DFP and maybe the G25?? I could only afford the DFP.
The kind of videos that get you doing shit. With all mistakes I can see (because I watched too many of these) this is already a mile ahead of what I can do, just looks sooo satisfying.
Solid results man. idk how much race exp you have in general but you've clearly got the hang of it. Try countering less, keep things tight. Skip the clutch kick and focus on your inertia, braking drifts only. What you really want is to be in slip, right at the edge of reasonable grip. Keep it up and challenge me one day.
You’re so much faster in these hairpins than I am, I can only really drift with awd cars in the hairpins. I haven’t been able to master the control of a rwd drift just yet, but im beginning to get the hang of it.
Really good run, especially since this version of the 86 is super skittish and the gear ratios are pretty interesting, as well as the somewhat slippy handling especially with the brakes. My personal best was 5:10 with this car so this is really cool.
That looks awesome! Great video! Now for the next challenge, do the same but without handbrake, only weight transfer, so that you stop spilling the tofu water in the trunk.
In my opinion there are too big angles sometimes, especially at the exit of the corners. Please remember that Takumi was focused on being faster. Happy to see next akina as a speed drift.
I’m doing the same thing on tail of the dragon with the sweetest bolt on E46 M3 mod out there. Been more than a year now. It becomes more like dancing than driving at some point…
The disease is spreading, love to see it! By the way, try trail braking into the slides-you’ll be surprised how easily this car rotates and drifts without needing the handbrake. You don't even need a Scandinavian flick to get it sideways for most of the corners either.
Can confirm, especially in hairpins. Most of the time an aggressive heel and toe downshift into first (which would money shift irl), tends to give you a shift lock type of slide, that isn’t as sudden and needs as much control :)
You're not alone, bro 😁 I've done 10752.8 kilometres on this Trueno. The best time I could achieve was 05:01.903 (I had to play with tyre settings, brake balance and suspension). I remember when I saw this result for the first time, it was literally euphoric. I hope we can go beyond 5 minutes. 🤞 btw, good run! 😉
What helped me the most was working more with weight transfer: when you're not fighting energy under braking and transferring that energy to a faster exit. And, of course, more grip. (maybe a little slip angle, but it will turn out organically when you get the car weight working properly)
I've been inspired by you and started doing the Tsuchisaka touge everyday, and just a week in I've improved by 30 seconds. I'm using the same Initial D mod as you, but feel like the HP is holding me back on the straights. Any recommendations for improving it or should I switch to the AE86 Tuned?
@@SubSlimeCrafter for a timed run the tuned will be better. However, the lower horsepower in the first stage is a bit more forgiving when learning drift and slip angle. I rode on semi slicks with a tighter front suspension and looser rear.
the drfiting and the angles are very nice compared to Initial D. the only difference is de Braking before the corner try to drift without an EBrake like in the series. just inertia and good Brake and Clutch skill development. but further more good job keep practacing and keep growing like the D from Dream. ( if you know what I mean😉)
Niiiice! Wish this type of experience was possible on console. (No im not playing carx drift. That game does not have the physics I’m looking for.) AC is just what I need rn to get better at this type of racing. But no pc 😭 im trying to save up for one tho
I did exactly this at 2017 akina downhill. with everysingle car that I has in AC includes modes. I'm 2 sec off the world record. maybe I'm fcking sucks.
@@RocketDriftz I’ll have to try that. I impulsively bought the ebissou’s car for 6 bucks because I wanted the speed chime ong, but I can tell you how to add it to any car if you want now.
I always found that braking while slightly turning into the corner and downshifting gave me the initiation that I wanted.
Pretty much what Takumi does in initial D. More or less just heel toes into the corners.
Trail brake
