Hint for the day: Animals can be made to rest by picking them up with a character and interacting with a bed or sleeping roll. The character will place the animal in the sleeping spot. Albeit the animal who is dropped in a bed will just ragdoll on the ground (apparently) but will not stand up again until you pick them up again. Animal 'rest' animations will only properly play if you pick-up and drop them on a sleeping roll. They'll kneel down appropriately. Consequently, it is important to tell you that animals heal MUCH faster than humanoids. Like several times faster naturally. So once you add the 4X boost of a bed roll, or heaven forbid, a bed, it can recover health stupid-fast. On the order of 12 or 16 times as fast as a standing humanoid. Skeletons beat them on recovering 'repaired' damage while standing, but that is situational, and they require a skeleton repair bed for perma-damage. Ergo, animals, especially bone dogs make rather effective clean-up for lightly armored opponents or bowmen. Set em and forget em, as they'll rip bowmen to bits once they turn "Teen" or "Adult". Once they're "Elder"? Their stat boosts make their attack damage and speeds turn them into a veritable blender. Rend the living daylights out of light-armored or naked opponents bloody quick.
Park has a 23,000 Bounty! I think him and Sand are smart enough to think of robbing/screwing over a small police station for the 23,000 bounty. Sand would be able to sneak in, and break out Park in the middle of the night easily, and if you turn him in hes not going to be in bad condition. I think the two should think about it.
Can you turn in allies? You can't attack them so he'd have to wait for him to be KO'd by someone else, and then haul him to town I guess? Could also just rob a store or two for about the same risk/reward ratio
23:21 I finally caved and bought Kenshi because of your roleplay. As soon as you mentioned "Beak thing" (or, as I call them, "Beak Fuckers") the PTSD flashbacks set in. How is something so huge and powerful so fast, god damn it?? The horror... The *horror*...
Nice, it feels like I waited so long for this! A tip or two; 3x speed is BAD when you can't steamroll everything in a biome, you could have probably spotted those bonedogs earlier if you went slower. Also, you sold your dustwich... to buy more food. One dustwich feeds a normal character almost two days or about... almost 5 dried meat IIRC :P If you're worried about things taking too long without 3x speed, perhaps try to have more cuts when there is little happening (if you have the time to record more that is). I really don't want to see Sand and company die because of a missed enemy :v Like, it's easy to miss enemies even on slower speeds. I almost ran straight into a group of bandits that were tougher than me at the time because their clothing blended into the ground. It was literally like "Huh, did that rock formation move?", pause, zoom in, "Oh...". Fogmen are also particularly good at sneaking up on you and catching you in a split second.
Also, buy lanterns from the hiver general merchants. Infinite lightsource that you wear on your belt bought for under 100 cats, I've only ever seen 2 per merchant, and they don't seem to restock, or at least if they do it's super rare as I've never seen them respawn in stock after buying them once (from any specific merchant). But yeah belt light source helps to counter when working in the dark debuff. And makes it easier to spot your guys when it's dark. Good for TH-cam, bad for stealth, but if you're trying to stealth, just take off the lantern.
@@ryconroleplays heh well I think the hive merchants also says the lanterns will protect you from the fogmen in the fog, but I'm not convinced about that part and I was definitely not going to for !Science! it until my squad are strong enough to take them out if the lantern doesn't repel them.
@@mckitsune7600 No. The lanterns against fogmen is a scam, one he gets a lot of fools to buy into. Lanterns are good for many things, but staying hidden from insane bugs is not one of them.
The animal gods of Kenshi must be looking out for Sand & Co-that gorillo showed up at exactly the right moment! I enjoyed the sort of rambling path the gang took in this episode. I found myself wondering if maybe Sand and Park feel a little overwhelmed at how many choices they have, like, all of their energy for most of their lives was spent on work and planning their escape, but now that they’re out, the decisions get more complicated. Sure, they want revenge, but there are so many paths leading to that end. Anyway, excellent storytelling, as usual. :)
Another video for are almighty overlord Rycon. And god damnit I'm in and out of concisions due to the zland cowabunga and it seems another cowabunga (but light version) is to be had.

This is seriously amazing stuff, can't wait to get into more recent stuff on your channel!
*Big TIP* Number 4 when a member is unconscious or being carried you can access their inventory by using an awake member to "Trade" (While awake member is highlighted, right-click on carried or sleep member and click trader) this will allow the awake member to access the sleeping's inventory to place or remove items.
Just in time, i just sat down with a beer and some chips & salsa, thanks rycon! You always get a like before i even watch the video because your content is that good. Park needs to be rewarded for almost defeating that berserker last episode, and for defending his friends till he couldn't get up anymore. What a legend
*tiny tip* # 3 You can "Pick Up" animals and place them in sleeping bags... they will not go there or get out on there own... you will have to pick them up to remove them from the bag.
Damn, Kenshi seems a little like Australia in that ALL the fauna is trying to kill you. Glad the boys and the much-chewed on Dogmeat made it through in one piece.
I am way late to this, and I hope I'm not corrected on it later. But I just wanted to say thank you for this series. It's the first I found where the person playing isn't abusing boring af exploits to max out thievery and any other stat you can exploit to max level in an hour or 2. Incredibly refreshing to see.
Early on the episode where there seems to be a dust storm, but status is normal, when you have your whole squad selected the status it shows is from the last person in the squad, in this case, Dogmeat. And if I recall correctly, bonedogs are immune to most environmental debuffs, (at least immune to acid and sand from what I've seen) It's possible the dust storm was affecting your other characters. But it does also happen that you have the blowing dust graphics but you're not technically in a dust storm also, so whatever I guess?

You can select an unconscious person to see if there is a bounty on them or not .There wasn't one on the berserker, which is why the police weren't interested.
Also, you might consider carrying Dogmeat when you need too run. Since she's just a pup, she can't move that fast. She'll be a force to reckon with when grows up though.
I remember on my latest play through I was lucky enough to find an undefended beak thing nest, about 15 eggs and a long haul later an I had enough for 4 sets of armour and a house
Is probably way too late but for animals to use a bed you have to pick them up and put them in, you also have to take them out or theyll stay there forever
