- Was it the right thing to do ? This week we tackle the southern part of the old Telegraph track and in our convoy , there is a Ram 1500. Have you ever seen a ram tackle the Old Telegraph track ?
We tick off a few goals and that being Palm Creek and the famous Gun Shot. We also enjoy lunch at a beautiful creek and get to see some of the original telegraph poles

I guess you men just have to do this track while your young & full of courage.good to see the Ram,Toyota etc got through. I watch the Gaul boys years ago,still have their Video’s,in there Toyota’s , it’s good to see how they opened this sport up for all you young ones.

Loving your videos and your adventures just a quick question what is the weight of your caravan and have you done a gcm up grade on you cruise
Hi Peter thanks so much! Appreciate the feedback! The caravan is 3.4 loaded and yes we have a gvm upgrade. She is heavy!
Haven't Palm Creek & Gunshot changed since I last was there with camper trailer in tow? I'm guessing I would have to think seriously about towing a 1.6 tonne camper through those crossings now. I might have missed it somewhere, but how effective is the Dometic DRS you have fitted to your van? It looks to be doing the job OK. Thinking of putting one on mine. Great video series guys. Enjoy the trip.
That is wild! Great job pulling a trailer through. Haven't done it before but they say the track changes every year. The domestic is great, it really does work. Just learnt to make sure to take a spare filter as on lce the filter is clogged it becomes less effective which is fair.
Yea mate . The talk leading up to our trip was that the track was going to be a challenge and that it has changed a lot. There were a few campers while we were up there that did it with there camper so it’s not that you can’t .
The dometic drs system did work well but we advise you take a spare filter with you. We didn’t which we now wish we did. Only a small amount of dust to be fair but that was after the filter gets that clogged up even if you clean it
@@justvanningit Thanks for that. There seems to be a few people that can them & that the Carafan is better etc etc, but at about 1/3 the price plus accessing a power source near the install point in my van means the Dometic might suit me for what I do. Good to hear first hand feedback.

The Ram driver just p*ssed me off being a wan*er - no need to rev and spin wheels as just destroys and degregates the track for others - Deryck you did well mate - slow and steady with respect !
While you are off doing your truck only 4wd adventures where is the dog and van.
