Newfie here living in on Tex-Mex boarder. Haven't been back home in over a decade now. My husband and kids are in for major culture shock after living where the Mexican culture has such strong prevalence. Call our kids "Newfexicans". It never ceases to freak my husband out how quickly my accent comes back. Seems like when you leave the rock it begins to fade, but at certain times it comes pouring right out. Called someone a "stunned arse" last week and just got a blank stare.
I heard a worker in the Kingston General Hospital cafeteria bawl out, "My stars and glories!" when someone dropped a tray of cutlery. I knew where she was from without even looking around. LOL!
I've written a song my first that speaks of leaving at a young age and always longing for it please have a listen it's available everywhere on TH-cam etc it's called come from aways by Kevin turner hope you enjoy
It's funny, I just found your website and i opened up my TH-cam just now and there was your video. right from the site! There's a Buddhist saying that " when you're ready the teacher appears." Sadly it might be big brother listening in an placing it in my algorithm. LOL! I'm not sad for this one though.
@KimNeville-vr8hn It isn't. Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and PEI are all in the Atlantic timezones (hence the name MariTIMES. Newfoundland has it's own timezone. Maybe use Google next time before you make a moronic comment on the internet.
