My professor used to work for the World Bank back in Washington, she told me all this, how powerful countries like China have SO MUCH influence in international institutions, that whenever China arrived, they had to run around and make sure that all was perfect for them. To the presenter. We don’t know what China’s real numbers are for GDP they do not break out there private GDP from their public GDP. It would behoove the presenter to do a report on this. Government spending inflates their GDP numbers is what I’m getting at for the great unwashed.
Sidenote. The American economy expanded after the second world war in double digit percentages. That also could not be maintained. America’s economy expanded again in the 1980s on credit. America, and the west is maxed out. Our economies do not have enough “demand“. China has 300 million people living like the west, but they have 1 billion, let me repeat that, “1,000,000,000“ people living in abject poverty, that presents with a huge demand.
