There is a parallel universe where Bran Van 3000 get the credit they deserve. A seriously underrated band, all their albums are amazing and well worth a listen. Their collaborative genre hopping style pre-dates the Gorillaz by a good few years.
My friends and I were listening to this song in 96-97 when it first came out, we were all club DJ’s and that song defined who we all were! It was such an awesome surprise to see this version a couple of decades later. Its an amazing and entirely different take on the song! True talent! and I love the looping, even years before Ed Sheeran was looping live tracks. (I wish I knew what sample libraries he was using on his Mac ;) I’d love to have them!!!
man this cover is so CHILLLLLLLLLLLL... every time I listen to this song a tear comes to my eyes, for all the thing in life I won't be able to return, lost time and lost friends.
This song came out when I was really young, I discovered it last year! It's so damn cool, cause I will be able to be "Drinking in a LA, at 26" for my birthday in a few years!
@@yuridaman Sad news: Nope, as I was scared of traveling, planes, getting out of my comfort zone. Good news: I moved to London, took the plane for the first time, took a deep dive into exploring the world and I really felt in love it!
Superb I cant explain how this song makes me feel, i guess a mirror on reality but at the same time a reflection of ones own life story its very awakening . Its fantastic i play it all the time.
It is, for me, the most bittersweet song there is. I love it more than I can explain, and it fills me with joy, but at the same time I almost feel like I am mourning something every time I listen to it. Honestly, when I first heard it way back when, I thought it was just a catchy tune. The other stuff didn't come until the years started passing. All in all, one of my absolute favorite pieces of music, and this version is amazingly done. It captures that exact sense of bittersweetness for me, the one that comes with the passing of time and looking back on the people you won't see again and the places that no longer exist, and in an even more profound way.
I apologize in advance, but this is one of the worst covers of any song I have ever heard. She sings too sharp and the music is way too loud, it just drowns everything out.
from the f start...BRAVOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO i hit sub button....

Corey Stairs It’s not a cover, it’s their own song that they’d reimagined.
