Say what you want about the parade, but the Mulan float was bloody spectacular!
I have to say that Mulan is absolutely amazing. The float and colors are beautiful. The men and women are in perfect unison with the music. Wonderful and stunning!
Mulan Float brings back the Mulan Parade on late 90's until early 2000's.
all parks need a Mulan float!!!

My favorite Disney princess finally have it's own floats since Mulan Parade ended in early 2000's.
The Mulan float was easily the best thing about this parade. It gets higher points because it's not repeating a Disney film we've seen a million times in other parades
Nothing better than a good parade. Looks like a good mix of the other parks' parades. I like how almost everything on the floats move. Solid 8 for me. Also don't know if I love or dislike Mickey and Minnie's new looks... :/
In my opinion, the new Mickey and Minnie looks take away from the fullness and life of the characters
I was mostly skipping through the video, but when I saw the Mulan float, that's when it hit me. Mulan's music, colors and style gave me goosebumps and got me all teary-eyed.
I agree everything about Mulan is stunning and amazing!

You know, given Shanghai Disneyland's budget and size, I'm surprised they didn't get a bigger and more elaborate parade.

They might not have that many performers because western people are expensive and hard to get in Shanghai

Finally my favorite Disney Princess got it's own float since Mulan Parade ended in early 2000's.
The Frozen float is almost identical to the one in Paint the Night at Disneyland!
These remind me of the early 90s parade floats; smaller scale, very minimal. Mulan's float is the star of this.
That Mulan float tho!!!!
I think the last float was strange. Let's just throw a bunch of characters on a random float.

I'm gonna use that little green man dance in my exercise routine. (Just kidding, I never work out. But it looks fun.) Their Mickey and Minnie are actually super cute, too.
Looking at this parade, I can tell that there were some designs inspired from both "Happiness is Here" from Tokyo Disneyland and "Festival of Fantasy" from Disney World.
Also the music in the tangled unit is the same as the music in Festival of Fantasy but in a different key
Honestly this kind of looks like a bad version of Tokyo Disneyland's Happiness is Here Parade(which is an amazing parade). The Mulan float is impressive but the ending just seems like they threw a bunch of random characters and a caboose.
The Frozen unit is even like the one in Paint the Night of Disneyland in California.
Parade wasn't that great, but no one can deny that Mickey was going full out. First day on the job😂😂😂 (in Shanghai😉)

im suprised that Shanghai even got a Frozen float considering both Box Offices and Merchandise of Zootopia and Big Hero 6 surpassed those of Frozen in China
Box office is not very good just because frozen realised so late in China ~~ but it's very popular in the Internet

The actor for Else is soooooooooooo beautiful! I came here just to download her video (I was too busy watching to record on the spot). I even downloaded this movie BUT surprisingly found it's a lesbian one....
I really don't like this parade (excpet for the Mulan float). It seems like Disney just got already existed floats and put them into this parade. Tangled from Festival of Fantasy, Finding Nemo from Happiness is Here, Frozen from Paint the Night etc
Frozen from Paint The Night looks totally different in SHDL's one lol

I don't like This parade to the train at the beginning loods like the onze from Disneyland Paris.

I feel like this happens in a lot of the parks; but I feel that actors in the suits need to be reminded that movements that are big and outrageous that would look silly in person, look normal when you're in the suit. You have to make huge movements in order for it to look like you're doing anything. Otherwise you look like you're really bored, Dale and Goofy at the beginning are good examples of what I mean.
Not the best parade however the park is having soft openings. I'm sure there will be better parades as the park matures.

Well, it's in China so ofcourse Mulan's float needs to be amazingly stands out than the other. It was the highlight of the parade, I guess

Disney should use this parade in not only Shanghai Disneyland, but also in other theme parks as well like Hong Kong Disneyland with Mulan still in place, Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom with The Jungle Book or The Lion King instead of Finding Nemo/Dory and The Little Mermaid or Aladdin instead of Mulan, and Disneyland Park in California with the same thing like the Walt Disney World iteration more floats like The Princess and the Frog, an all-Princess float, an under-the-sea mash-up float with Finding Nemo and Finding Dory, The Little Mermaid and Pirates of the Caribbean, and more! Make it happen Disney Parks and Resorts! Also Gravity Falls!

I understand where your coming from. I mean,
A+ for the Mulan float but the rest was pretty meh. Some of the chronography lacked some enthusiasm and the music was pretty bland at most parts. And I would have liked to have seen some more variety in floats. Like okay, they were pretty good but we've seen them all before; when am I going to get an Alice and Wonderland float? And seriously? No Peter Pan. 🙀
+Amy Shepherd Well, in DLP, ion "Disney Magic on Parade" you can see both character having an own flat, shared PP with MP and Alice with Pinoccio. The parade was realesed for the fist time in 2007 for the 15th aniersary, reformed for the 20th in 2012 ad would be replaced for a new one next year.
This parade was a huge "MEH" for me. maybe they didn't have enough time to come up with anything decent. you'd think with all that money they spend right?? *NUDGE NUDGE *

I think it WONERFUL. Maybe it's because it's the only disneyland I've ever been....
But if you have seen all Disney parks around world and this parade. This parade puts into a shame unlike Festival of Fantasy, Mickey's Soundsational Parade, Happiness is Here Parade, and Flights of Fantasy. Or even the Paint the Night Electrical Parade at Disneyland California and HK Disneyland.
Wow... you really watched a lot of them. It's Elsa's actor which touched me most. Her performance is so touching, so perfect... Honestly speaking I came here just to save her image. I really wish to take a pic with her if she's available in the "Meet the Royal" factor some day.

I found the Finding Nemo/Dory and the Finale float a little lack of imagination.

Rapunzel(Tangled) float is much better than that of 'Happiness is Here' in Tokyo.
The finale is somehow perfunctory. Lacking imagination or design. Pity. But I do enjoy the first part where characters and dancers integrate.
Wasn't the best parade ever and the music is horrible but it was refreshing to see some characters that aren't used much in the other parks. Like Maximus, Mulan, the seagulls from finding nemo and minor toy story characters.

I'm not complaining because I wouldn't be able to understand it otherwise. But, how/why is it in English(I don't think all of it was just like the songs)? Also, I love it. Irma magical and awesome just like how I imagined it.

lets talk about Mickey and minnie's "new" look, they look cartoon sculpted here and less natural. that is the first and only thing i noticed.
I actually enjoyed their look. It is nostagic, even Daisy seemed to be modeled in the older costume style.
Mickey and Minnie are from a cartoon, so it seems logical for me that the y are a little bit morte cartoon-like, but in fact I do like both their new and ancient looks

My fave bit is the bumbo movements looks so cute - rest is all just meh and nothing you haven't seen before ! - this whole park is lacking something ... I feel it's the history that all the other Disney parks have ... Maybe it'll get there after a few years but right now it's just lacking something magical ... Which it shouldn't as it has so many awesome things :/

This parade is pretty meh. If it's gonna last only like 3 to 5 years until the budget opens I will be fine. But if this parade last more than 6 years. Boy I'll have a problem. Edit: That Frozen Float was ripped straight from Paint the Night. They just added Sven and added Olaf to the front instead of the back. Same goes for the Finding Nemo float. Straight from Happiness is Here.
does anybody have an opinion on the new Mickey Mouse look and does anybody know the name of the mandarin Chinese voice actor who voices him?

Does anybody know why on the front of the first and final float '8' is displayed? It's obviously not because they're celebrating their 8th anniversary, they just opened.

Huh, you'd think all their performers would be Chinese? Kinda odd to see their Flynn & Rapunzel as well as their Anna & Elsa be caucasian. Perhaps it was because those did some English lines? (which was odd in and of itself). Not that it matters, it just stood out compared to the rest of the cast.
it's the same as Tokyo disneyland. it's character integrity. a Disney standard for the company

+DisneyFan So are the actors that are out and about in the park Chinese/Japanese (i.e of whatever nationality of where the park is situated) then? Or are they whatever ethnicity the original character is as well as bilingual? I tried to do some light googling on it earlier today out of curiosity but i didn't find anything.
+CrossfacePanda yeah the characters who do meet and greets are the ethnicity they are in the films due to character integrity. I'm pretty sure that the people in Shanghai can understand english so they don't have to train them to speak in that language. Its similar to what Tokyo does with its characters.

+Larry La Bella Except China isn't really like other country, though. It's the largest market in the world, which is why the entertainment industry is spending so much money there. It honestly isn't that different then seeing primarily white people at another park.
