Good job on mounting the storage bags! 👍 I personally think I have enough storage areas vs drilling into my trike! 😖 I use my 2019 Tri-Glide on long road trips, so I invested in the Rickrack luggage...that luggage bag is OUTSTANDING! But its your Tri-Glide, you did a good job of mounting it so enjoy, happy rides, but most important 👊respect👊!!
I considered the Rickrack-saw it on a couple other trikes. I went with the saddlebags because my brother has them on his trike and my wife and I both liked the look. We rode from Idaho to Maryland in May and for additional storage I put a hitch and a lightweight cargo rack on the trike. Worked good except for really deep dips in and out of parking lots. Thanks for watching and the comments. Ride safe!
I also own a 2021 Tri Glide. With all the storage in the rear of the trike, the trunk, tour pack and luggage rack, NO way am I going to drill holes in my trike for those things you will probably stop before using. My wife and I can carry a ton of stuff on trips. We bought the two luggage bags made for the trunk that leaves a bunch more storage in the trunk. Then the top box can carry a bunch. Down the road I have a bag made for the rack on top and carries all of our bathroom supplies and even a pair of shoes or two. But no way will I drill holes in my trike for that little more storage. But then, to each his own.
Jerry, Thanks for the comment. I was also reluctant to add them-drilling into an expensive machine didn't thrill me. We did find on our cross country trip they were very convenient though. But like you said-to each his own. Thanks for checking it out!
I get it-I was nervous too but with it taped off I had no issues going at a slow drill speed. Use a brand new bit also. The fender bras are Saddlemen brand. Thanks for watching!
How are these in the rain ? Retain water ? Thanks for the tutorial. Always wondered how these install ? Though a lock would be a nice addition, so you could keep things in it you don't want stolen.
My wife and I rode the trike to Maryland from Idaho last year and got caught in several rainstorms. Included a cloudburst in Colorado for 30 miles. The saddlebags and contents stayed completely dry inside. Thanks for watching and the comment!
I have looked hi and lo for an installation video for the fender bra. I have the same ones as yours and I can't figure out how to install mine. The instructions and so simple they just don't help. They are Saddlemen Fender chaps.
Howdy. Yeah you're right about no videos. I searched for quite awhile and didn't find anything either. I also searched "Install Saddlemen Fender Bra" and came up with their instruction sheet under the title "Features of the HD trike fender chaps" but I assume you have that. From what I remember about installing mine is-1. They need to be very warm in order to stretch. 2. It is a super tight fit and when pulling them don't tear the piece that goes in the tailight (it's flimsy). So basically make sure the bra is warm and you're installing in a warm place. The front corners have a sleeve that will catch the front corners of the fender. The braces enclosed in the leather are bendable so you can adjust for a better fit (more slack) when you line up the back tab of the bra with the screw that goes in the tailight fixture. You will have to take the two screws out for the tailight cover and the screw that holds the tailight fixture to the fender. It is a procedure that requires a couple tries to get it to fit right but mine have been on for two years and 13,000 miles so they are a good product once installed. Good luck!
They are Harley and I ordered them from Big Sky ? Harley in Montana. Went through the dealers website. Right around $400. Thanks for watching-Ride Safe!
Nothing built into the bags. I suppose if someone was really inventive they could devise something but we just are in the habit of putting anything valuable in the tour pack. Thanks for watching!
I don't currently have access to my trike to measure, as it is in storage but Harley states 700 cubic inches of storage. It accomodates 2 soda cans or 2 water bottles side by side with enough room to also stick in a cell phone.

Interesting 🤨. After seeing how you did it I’m ready to get them. Thanks for the video. 👍

At 1'57" I suddenly remembered I need to make that dentist appointment.
I like the bags but drilling into my new trike gives me chills. What brand fender bibs are those?

Looks good.
Thanks for watching!
How do you get your Side Covers off? If you have to reset your breaker for your reverse motor or hook it up to Digital technician.
Haven't taken them off since the install but the bags should detach just like regular ones on a bagger.
You remove the bag, remove the cover panel, and reset the reverse breaker. Restore the panel and reinstall the bag.
Where did you get the saddlebags? Original Harley part or aftermarket?

is there a way to lock them?

what is the total measurements of the bag

Why? looks dumb, how much storage do you need?
To each his own. Opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one but some stink more than others ! Ride on.
