    We’ve been struggling for 30 minutes to figure out the problem, watched 4 videos and then found you! You were the only one with a solution. 🙏 thank you!

    First, unplug the SM and wait 30 seconds. -For this next step, you will need a pin or paperclip handy. While your SM is unplugged, press and hold down the reset button on the right side of the Sync Module, then plug it back into power without releasing the reset button. -Continue holding that reset button until you see a flashing red light on the SM. -Once you've seen the flashing red light, you can release the reset button. -After resetting the SM, wait patiently (about a minute at the most) for the solid blue light to change back into a solid green blinking blue light pattern. This pattern means the firmware has been reset on the SM, and it is ready to reconnect to the Wi-Fi network. -Tap on the Sync Module icon located at the bottom of the home page in the Blink app, then select the Change Wi-Fi Network option from the list displayed. Or, if your Sync Module has already been deleted from the app, go ahead and try re-adding it to your system.

    Great video.
    Question...How do I check the strength of connection between a doorbell and the sync module. I can't find the option anywhere!

    • @blinqblinqtech
      @blinqblinqtech  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @AnaloguelnTheUK it should be listed under the settings of your doorbell. The settings gear besides the thumbnail of your doorbell when you boot into the app
      I do have a doorbell, but my sync module died, so I can't verify or provide a step guide. Sorry for that. I have ordered a replacement so it should arrive soon. I'll update when i get my hands on it.

      Mine does the same thing. It acts like the passwords are incorrect. I've set and reset the passwords, changed to 2.4 band, reset everything and still can't get anything to work.

      @blinqblinqtech  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @asierdanjou390 hmm that is weird.
      Did you try using new batteries or plugging in via the cable when setting up the device? Maybe your camera doesnt have enough power to latch on to your sync module

  • @manueltorres4815
    @manueltorres4815 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    Okay but what about my sync module? It’s been down for a MONTH and tech support can’t help, I got into contact with my internet provider, and they couldn’t help either. My WiFi WORKS, but my sync module DOES NOT CONNECT.

    • @blinqblinqtech
      @blinqblinqtech  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's weird. If you contacted your internet provider and Blink, then they must have checked for all the necessities with getting your Sync Module paired, like connecting to a 2.4 GHz WiFi.
      Do you have issues connecting other smart devices to your WiFi, or does your sync module connect to a network other than your home WiFi?
      If so, then you can try resetting your router settings to factory defaults. If you by chance, toggled the DHCP server and UPnP settings, it can mess up your connections.
      If that doesn't work, then your sync module might be faulty. Sorry for not being able to help with much.

      I had the same problem. Module suddenly wouldn’t connect and it kept saying I had an incorrect password. Do EXACTLY what @nicklaugher5263 said to do. And be sure to hold that reset button in until it starts to blink red (it shows red as soon as you plug it back in, but hold it longer until it starts to blink red). I had just about given up until this solution worked.

    2 hours of futility! Then I discovered this extremely helpful video. Turns out I had:
    Dead batteries,
    Which I then replaced with 2 more dead batteries,
    Then discovered that when I dropped the camera I damaged one of the metallic prongs that hold the battery securely in place with tight terminal connections.
    Then there was the malfunctioning WiFi and a few other adventures.
    But its operatiional now so I have canceled my order for a new camera….

    NONE of these remedies worked with battery powered cameras. I can get one newly opened Sync module connected to a brand new 2.4 GHz WiFi Router and 2 mini-cams plugged into wall power. Surprisingly, that same module and cameras connected to 5 GHz WiFi. I thought the answer would be to purchase a dual band router, but that isn't working either. I have several of these indoor and outdoor cameras so quite a bit of $$$$ invested in this system.

    Tried most everything you suggested, except resetting the sync devices, none of which worked. later on I'm looking at the my ASUS WIFI app and I'm going through list of devices and see amazon listed a few times and next to them is a red circle which means they are blocked, So I uncheck them and just like that they're all working again, Oh and one of them was listed as Nest. So basically for some reason my ASUS WIFI Router was blocking some my cameras even though they connect through a sync device.. So this is something you might want check, especially if some of your cameras won't connect or reconnect

    • @blinqblinqtech
      @blinqblinqtech  ปีที่แล้ว

      @charyachea7605 hmm that's weird. Are you sure you used your 2.4 GHz WiFi?
      If it says wrong password, then it could be an issue with your WiFi connection. Try connecting other devices to your WiFi using the same WiFi password. If they also show wrong password, you can go to your router portal and recheck your WiFi credentials.
      If you are confused, just contact your internet service provider and ask them to help you with your connections.

      @charyachea7605 if your other cameras are connecting to it, then you should be on 2.4 GHz.

      @mandibailey169 that is weird. Did you try removing the current camera and pairing the one that wasnt connecting? That way you can know for sure if its the camera's fault or your sync module's.
