I love hearing the trilling he does when he shakes his wings- super cute! Milo, what a little good boy you are! Talking away like that! Your mommy spoils you rotten! :-P
My little Munchkin is 6 months old and is a wonderful talker too...only mine has a Scottish accent lol. I love how they flutter their wings when talking.
Milo is a wonderful teacher! He's taught my Parrolet how to say plop, plop, plop and kiss, kiss.kiss Scooter has a terrible man crush on Milo. We have to watch him everday. Please do more videos!
He's so pretty! Sounds like the needle got stuck there for a while, for old people who remember playing broken records. lol I want a parrottlet so badly. Not sure what my parakeet would think of that though.
Hello. Wow your bird is a good talker. I have a male Parrotlet about since last June when I purchase him from a breeder.at time he was 8 months old I have him very well hand tame and goes hangs out on my shoulder. He only trys talking in morning. But repeats me saying to him tickle tickle tickle. Hard to make it out yet his natural voice is that of other parrotlets. I have a lot of questions about my bird behavior. But parrotlet forums I found are out dated. Can you be of help and or know of a current Parrotlet forum I can post his behaviors on to find out about him? Thanks.
Thanks for the compliment. My best piece of advice is to try to use the same phrases over and over. Hopefully your bird will like the sound of something you're saying and pick it up. I agree with the other comment, some of the Facebook parrotlets groups are fantastic!
It's funny, the high reflection on the metal bars look like they're laser beams. Is your bird on the Star Wars planet? Prisoner of Darth Vader or the Imperial Force? hehehe. Just joking.
Hi, thanks for the compliment! He will be turning 5 in 2020. We "taught" him to talk by using the same phrases over and over when we interact with him. It really is up to him which sayings he latches on to.
Milo started talking as he was falling asleep. Their little voices can be hard to make out too. Keep saying the same phrases over and over and maybe there will be one they really like!
He's a very clear talker: Do you want some juice, blueberries, seeds. Such a good bird, baby. Tickle. Peekaboo. Trilling and laughing. It's funny when they get stuck on a word: birdie, birdie, birdie hahaha. Gimmee a kiss, kiss, kiss. Smooch sounds. Do you have more videos of him talking? So interesting that parrotlets only seem to talk about stuff they like and have very similar vocabularies. Mine is obsessed with our dog so says Roxy dog, such a good dog, Stop it! Do you want to go outside and Do you want a drink of water.

AMEN! Did you guys teach him that, trilling while he shakes his wings?
Never heard of this type of bird, but I'm in love.

Try the Talk Parrotlets forum or the Facebook group "Parrotlet Parents".

How did you teach him to talk?? How long before he started talking? Cheers!
Omg He’s the best parrotlet talker I’ve ever seen. How old is he and how did you teach him to talk.

What age do parrotlets talk? Mine is almost 16 wks old, and I wonder when he can start to talk.
MrT _ one month
1 month? Not mine. Still waiting for him to talk. Thanks for the reply.
Is he talking yet? Tickle, Peekaboo, and Pretty Bird are things they seems to say first.
Talking? haha. No, I wish that he would say something. I'm still waiting to hear him say.
Milo was approximately 6 months before he started putting words together. He was saying peekaboo at 4 months.
How old is Milo ? What age did he start saying phrases ...
Milo will be turning 5 in 2020. He started talking around 6 months old with just a few words in the beginning.

Parrotlets really are big bird personalities in a small little package!
What kind of parrotlet is Milo? So cute!
Milo is a pacific parrotlet.
