If Dennis is an "expert mechanic" you should go back to letton and get 135 or 390T and maybe get him to repair them??
I think getting a front loader for your ford would be a good move

even if they did survive, they would need to be completely rebuilt, so they are basically toast.
ok so this annoys the beep out of me. you saying wet bales...... Farmed for 30 years real life, baled our own bales we all did, everyone in the county etc saved our own bales for the year feed them to our cows. Never once did we have problems with bales that we always left outside. We literaly baled hundreds of large bales, round and square and left them outside in the rain, snow, etc throught the year till needed. Never hurts them...... If they are baled properly, tied right they are more than tight enough to keep any rain from getting into them. the only time i seen issues is when someone would stack them where water would stand. So if you truely do have this issue in real life with bales being wet then that tells me your not baling them properly. You are not getting the straw damp enough of your doing the other crop to wet, IE grass etc. Then its not going to be packed right and more water can get in but even then as long as u stack them in good spot its not an issue.

Another great episode, maybe the older man you bought your field from has some farm implements he would like to sell, could be a win win situation. (He may have a mower and baler for all that grass).
You need to go back to letton and salvage the 135 and the 390t and get Denis to repair them !!!!!! Please put a loader on the ford too.

By the way you can spread fertilizer in the rain as you need rain therefore the crops don't die from the dry fertilizer.
The rain spokes the fertilizer in which you wand so the crops don't die.

I’m confused, none of that straw was used for bedding and cattle aren’t particularly fussed about eating straw without it being mixed. I’m surprised it didn’t go down as bedding
