Whenever someone tells me that Rock genre is just full of screaming and senseless singing, I recommend them listening to "She's Gone". Most of them are more of a fan of Rock genre (especially the 80s) now, more than me lol
It takes an individual of substance to appreciate the raw power of Rock fused with the depth of emotions & soulful lyrics that is Rock power ballads. A person with that "fire" from within - not the garden variety snowflake millennials.
I miss these bands & times. 30 years. I can't believe it. I miss my metal hair also. A wonderful time to grow up. Saw these guys in 1991 at the Syria Mosque in Pittsburgh PA. One of the last shows at that venue. Michael's voice knocked my equilibrium off at times. Great show😎

Which is awesome, by the way but Mili here uses a wider range of techniques such as vocal fry, rasp & just the right amount of breathy notes as well as vocal twang. Resulting in far more gritty high notes that makes it a bit unfair to pit against Dimash's clean vocals. Both are great in their own way but Dimash, simply said is not a Rock vocalist. And back in the day, Rock was The ruling music genre for a reason - the power & ferocity of Rock vocalists is too much for today's sissy generation to appreciate. Instead of real techniques, the later generations of millennials prefer "cute" (stupid) things like 'Gangnam Style' or half-ass style of singing like Yuna. It's that 'power' that is missing in today's music. Thank God I didn't cotton on my generation's taste (or rather lack thereof) for mediocre music. Bunch of simps, kids these days.

BUT, you must not have seen many of Dimash's videos. He is far from what most would call "straight pop". More like popera, (pop+opera). Milli is one of my all-time favorite singers, but Dimash, to be honest, has way more range, better lower range, and is the utmost technical freak.
