I think the biggest benefit of an unlimited PP membership is using the lounge, getting away from the crowds in the airport, having a drink, using a restroom that 5000 people have not used in the last hour, etc. The restaurant benefit was great if there was not a lounge available. I think the very few Sapphire lounges and other new cc lounges don’t come anywhere close to replicating the 1400+ PPLounge locations. Perhaps if you just fly a few routes domestically and happen to use an airport with a cc lounge it will work for you. But if you are retired and travel internationally, or are on a major international trip, the 1400 locations are a great asset. The same goes for the Unlimited membership. A limited membership with something like 8 visits is practically worthless to me. On an international multi-leg round trip you could easily visit 6 lounges…making a limited visit membership effectively good for only one trip. I want the unlimited membership so I can kill a 3+ hour layover, drop my bag, hit the restroom, wash my face, grab a drink, use a little WiFi and eat a simple snack and avoid spending $30+ at an airport restaurant…so the Sapphire Reserve card (I’m a Hyatt guy) and the unlimited PP membership is still valuable in my eyes, even without the restaurant option. I'm sure there are good restaurants that are part of the benefit too, but the qualify varies considerably and just because there's a restaurant option at a given airport does not mean it's a good option. And I also tried to use another restaurant a couple months ago but they were too busy for me to be able to eat there and still make my flight. The Club lounges are what I normally go to, and while they aren't as nice as the Centurion or Delta lounges, they are still pretty good. Some are nicer than others (I really like the one at MCO) but even the others meet a minimum bar of quality. I still have the Restaurant benefit through the Connect, so I'll use that if there are no lounge options. But my experience leads me to not value this too much. The Connect also works well as a compliment to others since while it's only 4 visits per year, there will soon be no annual fee. So I can get one of the other cards for unlimited lounge access, then the Connect for restaurants. Granted, none of the cards with unlimited Priority Pass make sense for me long term, but I have been cycling through them for the SUB. I do agree that the Chase lounges do not really stand out. Maybe if they have more it would be more of a draw, but I really doubt they'll put any in airports I normally fly out of.
Just watched ur last episode and I feel like it’s important to mention the altitude go is not 4% cash back. Each point can only be redeemed for .8cpp, making 4x=3.2% cash back
Nope. Unless Citi changes it... You can't product change into the Prestige. The only way one can hold the Prestige is if that person obtained the card before it was discontinued.

Before i got deep into the CC game i only visited PP lounges and they suck in comparison to the more major ones

Couldn't agree more. I'm early retired and travel internationally lots. 99.9%+ of airports don't have a centurion lounge or Delta sky club.

Amex Platinum got ruined by adding Escape Lounge to Priority pass.
This strikes me as a priority pass problem rather than issuers getting cheap.

I’m pretty sure that’s only for the Altitude Connect, not the Altitude Go.
Next time when you are in Istanbul please visit the Priority Pass lounge it's my favourite and does impress me drinking Raki on the patio.
