Great video as always. I’m currently revamping the xml files in my MaizePlus and EAS to give profit margins a bit closer to what’s possible in the real world (doing US and UK versions for the time being due to differences in the markets - I’m not sure if FS22 uses USD for its economy base figures as we know changing currency just changes the symbol). Currently my edits sit across selling animals as livestock and meat but may do a version to differentiate if I install the butcher mod
@@DisTurbedSimulations I didn’t think it really did either, but most values I’ve seen where they seem vaguely right seem closer to USD than anything else. But that may be mods. Need to look into it properly. Can feel this project snowballing into a full economy overhaul mod
I have a specific system I follow by planting a cash crop then immediately plant grass after harvest then fertilize with slurry. I make grasslige and hay off the planted grass in the spring then plant my cash crop. I feed the cows the grasslige and hay plus’s mineral feed. Still ironing a few things out but it seems to work ok.
@@DisTurbedSimulations ya I also use the modular biogas plant as a way of generating money and digestate. Silage and manure go into the biogas plant and generate electricity and the digestate fetilizes the fields. It really helps with the margins on the cows. Ive put solid or liquid fertilizer on a field for the last 3 maps I’ve played on maybe a handful Of times. Your constantly doing something but it really helps.
Another interesting but predictable one D/S = no milk = broke 😂 the game needs a meat to be sold to supermarkets or other shops or a on farm shop so you get more money for them but keep up with the great videos 👏👏👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
So what I am taking back from watching these videos is that Maize plus makes the animals not profitable at all, that's good to know because I used MP earlier and needed a bit more info wether to use it or not on my new save. It's safe to say that for educational or entertainment purposes on how to feed animals it's good, but other than that it's actually completely useless unless you need to take AWAY money from your farm..and that's a bit counter intuitive
Interesting take, maybe have a look at dairy cattle ;) and also consider that almost all of the numbers have been adjusted in the lastest update to AFA
@@DisTurbedSimulations Yeah I might have missed something, english isn't my first language, though I did understand the graphs well enough. I think there should be room to earn with all the animals not just dairy cows, I never have a farm with all the animals on it, I usually have max 2 species and dairy cows isn't always one of them. If this has changed, will you consider making a video on how these changes in animal food addition are reflected onto the various animals ?
@@totenfarmer6645 I have done some slides that are on the maizeplus and my discord. I haven't had time to do the analysis yet and make a video. You also have to remember the initial release of MaizePlus was design for the players to modify, so whilst as delivered some animals aren't profitable it's easy enough for you to adjust things so they are, reduce the food intake slightly etc.
As I expected, beef cattle make a loss with Maize Plus due to the quantity of food they eat. However, I did not expect the twist in the tail with all the money - and profit - coming from BGAing the manure and slurry. Now tell a real farmer that his beef cattle cannot make any money but whatever goes through them can be highly profitable! 😂
No idea that selling manure to the BGA could be so profitable. I’ve never really used the Pumps and Hoses DLC in my gameplay but might have to give it a go
Great video mate, really glad I've got a majority beef farm now 😆😫😂
Lol maybe time to invest in a bga?
@@DisTurbedSimulations yes and more dairy cattle!! 😂

Thanks, I'm not sure FS uses any real currency for most of the economy.

I do something similar, I use grass as a cover crop between things like maize and root crops.

Yes that might make up the difference
, a few fat steaks
I quite like your beef fattening idea 🧐
It works well
thx Mr d, now maybe with that new mod enhaced animal system you could make a little bit more, have to test that one :)
Unlikely, you still have an 98% chance of a single calf, with 1% each for 0 or 2.
@@DisTurbedSimulations also true, il stick to the healthy milk than hahahaah

Yeah, maybe that's why a lot of smaller farms now sell direct though? We only get wholesale prices in game ;)

The PnH bga is not a great option for this, you want a more normal one that will run on just 1 product
@@DisTurbedSimulations can you suggest one 😉
