What drives me crazy? What horrible drivers Portland is full of.
Do you know anywhere better? Suburban drivers are worse. Country drivers are worse. East coast drivers are worse. Massachusetts drivers are worse. Californian drivers are worse. Floridian drivers are worse. Washington drivers are worse. Texan drivers are worse. Mexican drivers are worse.
@@graceg3250 every where else I've driven, including some that you've named. Was WAY better. Only place I've ever drove where people regularly go 15/20 miles under the speed limit. People will swerve infront of you, to guard empty lanes. When they are stacking up through lights. Too dumb to comprehend they are obstructing and making a traffic jam. Dumbest people on earth. I can make it across five lanes of traffic, full speed in a few blocks with barely any room in LA, no problem. Portlanders suck so hard.
I'd love some similar coverage addressing the fact that 99% of Teslas on the road do not have front license plates. Drives me crazy.
Why do you need them to have a front plate commie?

Most Portland drivers are too damn slow. Some drive too fast, which leaves folks who drive "normal" the minority. People who text at a red light, oblivious to the next green light. People who make a full stop to turn, then execute an arching, yawning pregnant turn taking forever. People who refuse to use their turn signals, they expect everyone else to know their next move. People who tailgate, thinking they'll get to their destination quicker (they won't). After decades of living in Portland, the worst drivers I've seen are in Oregon and Washington, not California.

I see this at almost every red light every day . I just assume someone is going to blow a red light everytime mine turns green
i wait until at least 3 cars blow it before I start scooting out, so the people behind me don't ram me out into the intersection to get by
I'm too scared to bike in this city, honestly. I walk most of the time. And on many of my walks I come across car parts from crashes. Bumpers, mirrors, random plastic pieces from the bottoms of cars, etc. Fresh daily, sometimes.
You seem overly fearful. I walk everywhere! I've only been hit twice quit being so worried

as you should be, streets and roads were built for 'vehicles', not bikes...

I drive defensively and presume everybody is texting and driving or just generally not paying attention. I'd be t-boned weekly if I didn't.
In addition to people running red lights (last one I saw was about 1/2 block from the front of a MAX train Downtown):
Cars parking on the wrong side of the street.
Cars with expired registration tags, especially on out-of-state plates.
Cars parked in driveways in a way that blocks the sidewalk.
Cars ignoring the No Turns signs on SW Fifth & Sixth Avenues in Downtown and driving in the transit-only lanes. (If I had a dollar for every time I saw this I’d have a lot of cash.)
Speeding.
Passing cyclists on a sharrow street with double yellow (no passing) stripes down the middle (was that long wait at the red light a block ahead worth it for you impatient Kia driver?)
SAME!! especially as a pedestrian, I don't feel safe. We need more red light cameras to at least give folks a reason to stop this bad and dangerous behavior!
Its even worse at night. I'm an EMT work nights and people drive through red lights all the time. So many issues with people driving in Portland. Not using their blinkers. Extreme speeding.

just come out and say that portlands roads are 100% lawless, because traffic lights basically mean nothing anymore, to cyclists or drivers.

People wandering in the road under now illegal substances, potholes, entitled bicyclists, drivers staring at their phones at a green light, red light runners yep and jaywalkers.
Stupid roller blader!! Then they cry, it wasn’t my fault. I realized driving in Pdx is dangerous and I have experience it myself. There is no police presence downtown. Very easy to break the law in Portland, no consequences so be very very alert and don’t become a victim of lawless persons.
I have never seen anyone running a red light in Portland. This videos are very surprising to me. Portland drivers seem afraid to do anything wrong and have no idea how to merge 😂
What drivers me crazy is pedestrians crossing agains the light and just stepping in out in the crosswalk without looking!
I see people run red lights and red arrows several times a week. I guess everybody has different experiences, eh?
This should not be a segment for your comedy skit...how about you also show the carnage and destruction caused by red light runners and interview the survivors of the family and friends lost as a result of something you find hilarious enough to laugh at

the ones I cant stand are the speed up and run it or the turn lane runners.

Why do they do it. Because of no enforcement period.
Lesson: Go on Red Big Trouble, you will get in an Accident & you will get a Ticket by the Police. Unless it has a Red Light Cameras on License Plate to Email.
What drives me crazy? How slow everyone drives here, not being assertive, not accelerating, letting people in from parking areas when you have a green light. I can go on and on. It’s mind boggling. We are all later at our destination lol Oh, and a majority does not even think it’s necessary to use a blinker. Entitled much?
For two consecutive days I kept track of how many lights I encountered and. how often they were red. Out of 149 lights that I encountered, 121 of them were red. This was east and west Portland. I now run red lights in Portland regularly. Everything is so poorly timed it almost feels punitive driving a car. Not to mention stopping for buses, Max, and the homeless in the street.

In Eugene, the PD spends 70% of it's time on Measure-110-thieving-addicts. Not much policing left over for EVERYTHING ELSE!
How about we leave the bicycles to kids in the park. Grown ups drive cars

Amen, brother! Bike lanes just create more traffic congestion which increases pollution. If one chooses a bicycle as their main transportation mode, move to Europe.
