Worked parking lot cleaning company for couple years. We did 5 to 10 a night. Started about 10 worked till 6. Had to clean them when stores are closed or not as busy. Gotta remember it's not a campground. Lol have to blow out debris with blower for sweeper to grab.

One of my favorite videos yet! Loved seeing all the areas we live near. Spanish Peaks (2 mountains w snow on top), driving through the La Veta pass. Was out there w that awful Springs fire a few years back. And of course Alamosa which is a very “interesting” town. It was the bees-knees when that Walmart went up there! Definitely check out Zapata Falls right by the Sand Dunes if you haven’t, won’t regret it! Thanks again!

You were in my neck of the woods. I live in Monte Vista, the next little town you had to drive through. I do some truck camping myself so if your ever back in the area I could show ya some great spots to hook some rainbow trout there in the San Luis Valley my man.
Forgetting Sarah Marshall is such a great movie, I didn't know there was an unrated version, I'll have to watch that. I just got back from Nevada and Arizona myself, it's crazy how much cooler it is up in the mountains, even in the desert.

I used to blow parking lots like that between 10pm and 6 am. It’s got something to do with water sheds. It hurts the water shed. A street sweeper should come clean it all up
I've stayed in Walmart parking lots all over the United States.. at one they had a huge street sweeper come in around 3:30 A.M loudest thing I've ever heard. Sure didn't need an alarm clock, and once when someone was trying to peep in through my reflectives and scared the crap out of me.. but nothing happened and my doors go locked as soon as I'm in...enjoy and thanks for bringing me along with you.. I'm a solo traveler also, much more fun, I may start a small caravan since it's always good to have someone with you or atleast near you if you need anything and something comes up. Hugs from Wisconsin ❤️❤️ MUSTARD AND MAYO YUMMYS, WALMART HAD GREAT SANDWICHES.. JUST WISHED IT WAS WARM AND THE CHEESE WAS CHEWY WARM AND STRINGY... THAT'S MY KIND .

Walmart with a night shift. haa - no they insist on stocking stuff and leaving pallets everywhere all day long during business hours. Good video Quady! Gonna be a cool trip. As much as more complex exploration videos with cool sites might get you more views in the future, Ill always love the simple ones just hanging out in the truck! Ill never forget the UFO stories, and you losing a tooth!

Also - someone who is from Arizona, born and raised I always tend to chuckle when you say it’s warm at 90 degrees… oh boy lol 118 is warm to us lol!
Had to laugh when you bit into that sandwich, my first thought was, " how can you eat that dry without any mustard?". I no sooner thought that, than you said, "My brain made me realize that my mustard is in the back." It's sad this wasn't live. I used to live in Colorado Springs and could have told you the moment the sun goes down, it gets cold. even in the dead of summer. When I first moved there, I was told to carry a jacket in the back seat because it will get cold at night. And they weren't lyin'. The Walmarts here in Texas are still closing at 11 as well. They do have a night crew, but their main job is to disinfect the store. Thanks for taking us along!

Good one man. Way to roll with the changes with the camp site. I’m liking the new cooler and the food basket. I have the 35 qt. Dark blue one. It’s nice with a built in lid activated light but it has a plastic basket instead of the wire one your larger one has. Anyways, good video and adventure. Looking forward to the entire journey.
Alamosa….boy that brings back memories! I use to haul spinach from there back to Hershey Pa 30+ years ago. It’s definitely a beautiful area of Co.

Hey man if you wanna check out something pretty cool and if you're not on a set schedule, about 2 hrs Northeast from you there's Bishop Castle, basically a castle you can climb on lol. There's also Royal Gorge outside of Canon City.
I've been to Royal Gorge and rode the lift there. Never been to the castle though

Cant wait for this adventure out west CQ... California camp sites are pretty booked too I think. Parks at least in the bay area are really crowded. Schools just let out, so its peak vacation season now... and the state is opening up from covid lock down. hopefully you can find a nice camp site to relax, thats not too crowded.
No campgrounds needed in cali 🛥
They usually have a night crew cleaning all night.

I've camped in different Wal Marts a few times and they've all had this giant blower machine that drives through in the middle of the night. It's worse than a leaf blower lol

About 15 years ago I took one of the "work today, paid today" jobs and one of them was sweeping the walmart parking lot, I think it was from midnight to 3am or something. We physically swept it though, no leaf blowers lol

We've stayed at Walmart. It's not bad. Restrooms and food. You look wiped out. Long day.

Suspect you need to book and they are booked way in advance but there are camp sites in Cardiff CA, just north of San Diego. Right on the beach.

About 175k, just had it at Barnyard Garage in Lincoln Ne for all the fluids, trans, t case, diffs, oil, etc to get ready for the trip
