- No Dub Techno this time, but an invitation down the rabbit hole of a midnight meditation, a mantra of soundscapes as they reveal itself.
Taming a beast of an instrument, but perhaps, the beast is taming what already lies within me. who knows?

I love that this thing has no midi in or out. It knows what it is. I felt the same kind of good vibes from the back-of-manual patch template for the Dreadbox synths - there's something charming about having to notate your "presets" with pen and paper.
yeah its a truly unique experience
and those notated presets never line up anyway in terms of sound the next time you bring it up
I love it when the whales swim by to see what Roger Waters is doing at 04:48. Then they call their friends and have a chat about it. "I didn't know the Lyra-8 could do "On the Run"" says one of them. Then at 06:38 a Mongolian throat singer with a horse's head fiddle arrives to do some whalesong on his fiddle. The whales love it. "Tom Baker was the best Doctor Who" says the Mongolian. The whales agree, enthusiastically. That was a wonderful trip, thank you so much seianj!

massive fan man! i'm a recent lyra8 guy too and kinda obsessed, naturally. plays very well with syntrx 2 and magneto and starlab... rabbit hole inside rabbit holes. doing any film score? hit me up.

@@soundsrhythm7332 es ist ein einzigartiges Erlebnis die Lyra zu spielen. Ich habe meins schlussendlich wieder verkauft, da ich es nicht so oft einsetzten kann. Es war es aber wert es mal zu haben.
@@seianj Hab die Lyra8 seit gestern bei mir im wohnzimmer angeschlossen um von den anderen Geräte nicht abgelenkt zu sein und so langsam verstehe ich wie die Bestie funktioniert. es ist sicher etwas einzigartiges und vom Soundspektrum sehr dominant. ich wünschte man könnte die Amp Envelopes etwas besser steuern und schade kann man es nicht mit Midi verbinden um die Töne Linear steuern zu können, aber ansonsten finde ich es bisher recht spannend.
Darf ich fragen wo du es verkauft hast?

@@soundsrhythm7332 Kool gratuliere! Ja man muss versuchen los zu lassen die Lyra zu sehr zu kontrollieren, es ist ein bisschen ein Tanz. Die Lyra spielt dich, man reagiert was die Lyra macht. Ich habe es beim Audiosrouce in Lausanne gekauft. :) lg

I dislike the state we ended up with regarding this surplus electronic hardware. Im an electronic engineer btw who builds synths, effects and stuff. It’s just all the sane and lame.
Interesting statement, my I ask you to elaborate on that or give examples for someone who isn't an engineer? :)
